Faculty of Management Studies (FMS), University of Delhi completed its summer placements for the MBA batch of 2013 by securing a wide range of roles from national and international firms, including offers from 15 growing sectors of the economy.

About one-sixth of the batch made its way to summer internships in the consulting sector. Accenture Management Consulting, Deloitte Consulting (Strategy and Operations), KPMG, TAS, Mahindra and Mahindra, Capgemini, Corporate Executive Board and TCS recruited interns for General Management and Strategy Consulting roles. Olam International recruited for an international role. Companies like Aircel, Godrej and Wipro also recruited students for internships in strategy consulting. SAP hired for the business process strategy internship.

About one-third of the batch landed finance profiles across various sectors. Investment Banks like NM Rothschild, Avendus Capital, O3 Capital and Langham Capital hired interns for frontend roles. American Express, Citibank, Deutsche Bank (CIB), Goldman Sachs, HSBC and Standard Chartered Bank hired interns across diverse profiles. DBS offered profiles across Markets, Treasury and Corporate Finance divisions while Jacob Ballas, Helion Ventures and IDG Ventures hired students for summer training in Private Equity and Venture Capital. Axis Bank, Equirus Securities, Hinduja Group and ICICI Prudential AMC also recruited interns.

Some FMS students will also intern in government enterprises this year. The Department of Financial Services, Ministry of Finance recruited interns for projects related to the financial regulatory environment in India. Union Bank of India, ONGC and GAIL were some of the other public sector units that recruited from FMS, Delhi.

Unilever, P&G;, ITC, Nestle, GSK Consumer Healthcare, Colgate Palmolive, Coca-Cola, Kraft-Cadbury, PepsiCo, AC Nielsen, Agrotech Foods, Akzo Nobel, Asian Paints, Britannia, Dabur, Godrej, Heinz, HCCB, J&J; Consumer, Lenovo, Marico, Perfetti, Philips, Reckitt Benckiser, SABMiller, LOreal, Nivea, Flipkart, Castrol, Royal Dutch Shell and Titan hired FMS students for training in marketing and sales made offer to the students for their Marketing and Business Development roles. Companies across domains like Kraft-Cadbury, Coca-Cola, GSK Consumer, Flipkart, Tata Motors, among others offered roles in Finance and Supply Chain as well. Aditya Birla Group recruited students through its group companies.

IT/Telecom majors like Microsoft, Airtel, Vodafone, Aircel and Aricent also recruited students from FMS, Delhi for marketing, strategy and business development roles. Pharmaceutical majors like GSK Pharma, Eli Lilly, Genzyme, ProMed, Merck, among others also made offers. Media and advertising firms such as HT Media, Times OOH, Leo Burnett, Ogilvy and Mather selected students for internships in entertainment and media management. Kings XI Punjab recruited for a unique role in sports marketing.
