Jumbo Electronics recruited three students in UAE operations for retail and distribution operations. SBI Life was the largest recruiters for lateral candidates, recruiting five students for middle management.

For the Marketing profile ITC recruited three students for its AUT programme. Among the other FMCG companies, Hindustan Unilever Limited (HUL) recruited seven students for sales & distribution profile. The cigarettes major, Godfrey Philips participated in placements at IMI for the first time. The telecom companies like Vodafone, Idea Cellular and Tata Teleservices offered roles spanning from VAS, Roaming, and Product & Enterprise businesses.

Representing the automotive sector, Tata Motors and Maruti recruited for their MT programmes. CB Richard Ellis and DTZ were the real estate consulting firms which visited campus. Adidas selected IMI as one of the campuses while launching its first MT programme, profiles offered were in retail, operations and brand. Amongst the other sectors that visited the campus were JSW steel (Steel), Vedanta (Minerals) and Quantum Market Research, India’s qualitative market research firm

Finance domain was represented by Lehman Brothers offering front-end I-Banking profile, AT Kearney offering role in consulting advisory, Adventity offering role in analytics and knowledge services domain, UBS looking to recruit for securities and wealth management, Power Finance Corporation for project finance. The campus also saw participation from ICRA, India’s credit rating firm, Axis Risk Consulting in the consulting domain, Deloitte & Touche for their financial and business advisory, and Darashaw for investment services including investments, equity research and debt intermediation.

Among the banks that participated were Barclays, Citibank, ICICI Bank and HDFC bank. There were multiple profiles on offer such as corporate banking, treasury sales, microfinance, retail banking, asset & liability sales. Among the other firms from the BFSI sector Tata Capital represented financial services and SBI Life represented the Insurance sector.

Infosys and Infosys BPO offered roles across domains as consultants and business analysts. Systems profile was offered by Bank of America Continuum Solutions, providing high-end transactions processing. Operations profiles in ITES were offered by Genpact and Firstsource.

The first batch of PGDM (HR) had a good start to their placement season with a total of nine PPOs/PPIs (including international) being offered to the students. The average salary was Rs 6.89 lakhs per annum. The batch was placed across sectors, such as IT, ITES, Insurance, Manufacturing, Telecom, Travel & Tourism, Business Research etc. The major recruiters included Aricent, Genpact, Firstsource, M.B. Holdings LLC, RPG Group, SBI Life and Tata Teleservices. Profiles offered ranged from Employee Engagement, Talent Acquisition, Training & Development, Compensation & Benefits, Consulting, Qualitative Research and Generalist HR.
