The DVS (Indian Agricultural Research Institute), New Delhi has welcomed applications for Junior Research Fellow (JRF), Senior Research Fellow (SRFs) and Young Professional (YP) – II posts in ICAR funded CRP projects purely on contractual basis. The qualified and interested candidates can appear for the walk-in-interview scheduled to be held on 13 November 2019.

The candidate shall the official notification under F. No. (Advertisement No.): VS/2019 and also under Employment Newspaper Week dated 19-25 October 2019 (Page No.36).

Vacancies details:

There is a total of 05 Vacancies which include-

  • Junior Research Fellow (JRF) – 01 Post
  • Senior Research Fellow (SRFs) – 03 Posts
  • Young Professional (YP) – 01 Post

Age Limits:

For all the post the Maximum age criteria are 35 years and the Age limit will get relaxed for the upper age limit for SC/ST/OBC candidates according to norms made by the government.

Educational Qualification:

  • Junior Research Fellow (JRF) –

The candidate shall be a Post Graduate Degree in Basic Science OR Graduate or a Post Graduate in Vegetables or Horticulture or Genetics or Plant Pathology or Basic Science with specialization in Plant Biotechnology or Plant breeding and NET / CSIR UGC NET / GATE.

  • Senior Research Fellow (SRFs)

The applicants should hold a Master’s degree in Agriculture or Horticulture or Vegetable or Plant Breeding and Genetics/ Plant Biotechnology/Plant Biochemistry/Life Sciences with expertise in Vegetables or Plant Breeding or Genetics or Plant Biotechnology with 4 or 5 years of Bachelor’s degree. or

The Candidate should have a post-graduate degree in Basic Science in the above-mentioned subjects with 3 years Bachelor’s degree and 2 years Master’s degree with qualified NET and 2 years of research experience respectively.

  • Young Professional (YP)

The applicants should have a Master’s degree in Horticulture or Genetics or Plant Breeding or Life Sciences.

Selection Procedure:

The selection of candidates shall wholly be based on their performance in the interview being organized by the selection body.

Qualified candidates shall appear for walk-in-interview programmed to be held on 13 November 2019 along with their application on the designated format which can be downloaded from the official website along with other necessary documents at the mentioned address n notification.
