Finally..!! Here comes the failure story (instead of a success one..:P) of a desperate CAT aspirant who fought the game 3 times. I decided to catch the Train back in 2011 when I had no heavy expectations. God was pity and knocked my door by giving interview call for new IIMs. I kept aside the quote “Opportunity knocks only once” and the result also goes in that way..:( But I was conscious of the industry and decided to bell the CAT again in 2012. My preparation had been running in parallel but not with required pace. I was a bit over confident to secure call again this time and eventually I fell in the pot hole. But the ant (myself) stood up again and started climbing the wall. This time everything seems to be on my side. Good mock percentiles gave me confident of cracking the CAT 2013. I was pretty sure of landing into one of those dream B schools. But I arrived at a devastated situation with 99.21 in QA, 38.07 in VA and OA 89.3. I’m completely shocked by this. I maximized a raw score in VA but fall short of Accuracy which Prometric thinks is the right parameter for judging a candidate. I even secured 75 percentile with similar performance in CAT 2011 and CAT 2013 results predictors demonstrated the same. Still I don’t know where is the loop hole. I could have attempted only DI and land myself into 90’s but God was merciless on the D-Day..:(

Finally with 30 months experience I placed my self into helpless situation where aiming for CAT 2014 would be a “Late Game” and also could not aim for GMAT and go abroad due to family reasons. So I decided to get off the Train and keep aside the MBA stuff. Exploring for more options and I shall board the train only when it comes to my station.

Any suggestions are most welcome…:)
