Delhi University brings Five Online Courses

The Delhi University has finally received from the fulfilment of permission from the University Grants Commission (UGC) to start five online courses. The courses refer to the School of Open Learning (SOL), but around January they will display online courses and which shall be available, all around the world.

The five courses include:

  • B. A Programs
  • B. Com, English Honor
  • Political Science Honors and
  • B. Com Honors.

According to one of the officials of the Delhi University said that the motion of online courses was put forward by 22 universities but UGC gave consent to only four universities out of which the Delhi University is one.

As per UGC guidelines, for establishing up online modules, such courses are deemed to have four components i.e. “four-quadrant approach”.

It includes:

  • online video or audio tutorials
  • reading the material through e-books or PDF,
  • open-access web content including valuable articles,
  • self-assessment modes such as MCQs and study forums

Nevertheless, some of these courses have been titled as section of B.A. Programs; they seem to be videos of specific papers bestowed at a conference at SOL.

The closing date for admissions to the SOL without late payment is July 31. Also, the end date of payment of ₹200 is August 31. The complete process is online besides the nutrition course and PwD and international students. Though the plan seems to be immensely growing and futuristic the real question that shall remain that will these courses would be possible to maintain the circular of the offline pattern.
