Prof Pramod Maheshwari,
MD and CEO of Career Point, traces his journey which began as a humble
tutorials to being the country’s first ever tutorial service listed on NSE and

I was the second born child of a grain trader and belonged
to a typical Marwari family. The journey of my life has not been an easy one
and that is what I think made the difference.

I excelled in studies when I was in school and joined my
Alma mater IIT Delhi for graduation. My passion for education and
entrepreneurship led me to begin my company Career Point the same year I had
graduated. My journey began with just 50 students in Tyre godown in which my
father operated his Tyre business.

From then on there was no looking back for me.

My company today coaches more than 25,000 students every
year. I have also set-up two private universities, two engineering colleges and
numerous schools across India. My passion has driven and transformed Career
Point into one of the biggest education corporate in Asia. Today I can proudly
say that we have tutored 8400+ IITians, 120000+ engineers and 5500+ doctors so

We raised private equity in 2009 and even went for an IPO in
2010 and became the first tutorial service provider in India listed on NSE
& BSE. These are few of our proud achievements among many achievement.

The primary aim of my institute is to impart quality
education to students preparing for various competitive examinations. We have

growing almost 20% year on year. More students are choosing coaching
institutions as primary source of learning centers instead of schools as
majority of schools and colleges across the country have failed to provide
quality education. And since the coaching industry has always focused on conceptual
clarity it has led to a boom in the coaching centers.
