APSET Notification 2019 Released: Online Application Commences on Aug 5th

The official notification regarding the Andhra Pradesh State Eligibility Test (APSET) has been released by the authorities on the official website. Aspirants who wish to appear for the test in order to become a school teacher in the state of Andhra Pradesh can apply online. The Andhra Pradesh State Eligibility Test (APSET) is an eligibility requirement for the aspirants who wish to pursue teaching in the state-based schools.

Important dates: The online application commences from August 5th, 2019 and the last date to apply without having to pay a late fee is September 12th, 2019. Failing to apply within this date, aspirants will have to pay late fees ranging from Rs. 1000 – Rs. 5000 for the application. October 3rd, 2019 is the very last date to apply with a late fee payment of Rs. 5000. No further applications will be accepted after this date.

Eligibility criteria:

  • Candidates who possess a minimum of 55% marks in their Master’s degree or an equivalent degree are eligible to apply.
  • The minimum percentage required to apply for SC/ST and other reserved categories is 50%.
  • Candidates who completed their Master level examinations by September 19th, 2019 and acquired a Ph.D degree can apply with a relaxation of marks by 5%

The exam is scheduled to be conducted on October 20th, 2019.

The test will be conducted in two sessions. The first session will be of a duration of one hour being held from 9:30 am till 10:30 am. The first exam will be common for all aspirants and will be in English and Telegu. The second session will be held from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm. It will be bilingual and consist of questions from subjects like Economics, Education, History, Commerce, Political Science, Sociology and Public Administration. This exam is conducted by the Andhra University on behalf of the State Government.
