Andhra Pradesh Power Generation Corporation Limited (APGENCO) was found on December 28, 1988, and its headquarters are situated at Vijayawada, Andhra Pradesh. It is a power generating organization which undertakes the operation and maintenance of the power plants and also setting up new power projects alongside upgrading the project’s capacity. Due to the declining tendency of the financial position of APSEB, it was divided into APGENCO and APTRANSCO (Andhra Pradesh Transmission Corporation) on February 01, 1999. On April 01, 2000 the APTRANSCO was further divided into Transmission Corporation and 4 Distribution Companies (DISCOMS).

For the post of Lineman, the candidates should have passed their 10th standard or intermediate from a Government approved School. (The educational qualification for each post in APDISCOM will vary so the candidates must check the official notification properly) |
