Many of us live through life harboring a secret desire to write something and have people read and possibly appreciate it. If writing is not what we do for a living, then blogging, Facebook and Twitter provide transitory relief, but they come with riders. With blogging, there is the problem of reach, Facebook fatigue has already set in and Twitter has a 140-character embargo.

So what if you were given a platform (which has 12 million page views per month and clocks a thousand plus posts daily) to give wings to your thoughts? What if the dais is shared by professional writers and you are actually getting a chance to share net space with them?

If all this excites you, it is time to hop aboard and start writing for PaGaLGuY Channels. You can write just about anything, as long as it fits into one of the Channels provided. It could be a strong opinion about an issue or you could have an insight into a time-worn subject – this is the place to let the world know. Or you could just document a well-articulated argument about a concern you read in the newspapers or thrashed out with friends. How about an open letter to a celebrity or a politician on a topic that is perturbing you? Or maybe, pen your thoughts about a theme you are totally passionate about, which is also totally unconnected to your profession or line of study.

We have no Terms and Conditions box that you have to tick before you start writing, only make sure they do not offend anyone and you stay within legal boundaries. Beyond that, all that you have to do is let your thoughts flow in a sequence like as if you were telling a story. Also provide links wherever you need to explain the backdrop and make sure that your writing is lucid. Remember, you are writing for others to read and not for yourself so it has to be a subject that is at least a bit recognizable to all. If not, make sure you do a good job of introducing it.

And yes, don’t you forget a visual to crown your article. Like they say a picture can speak a thousand words – let your picture speak 500 words because the other 500 you will be writing.

So, if you have the idea, we have the stage, bring it on.
