Hi! I’m sure all of you will be in the final leg of preparation for the entrances which are coming up in the near future! Frankly speaking, I am kinda nervous considering that these are the first set of exams that i’m giving at an All India level.. Normally it has always been our performance in comparison to nobody else till college.. but now every single mark matters so much! It’s like you are competing with thousands of other people who have probably prepared much more than you.. Considering that there’s only a month left for the FATHER OF ALL EXAMS.. it’s high time we pull up our socks and give our heart and soul for the prep!
I really have no idea about how these entrances are going to help colleges choose candidates.. how can someone be selected based on stuff they have done during school and college? What relevance does it have now? Personally in my opinion, there should be some other way in which colleges choose students.. like maybe depending on qualities of the person.. how the person responds to situations and whether they are fit to do the MBA.. I don’t think that THAT ONE TEST should be the decider of the students’ fate! What if someone is having a bad day on the day of the exam.. their entire year is wasted cos they won’t get good scores in it and poof!.. their dreams are shattered..
Anyways, that’s how the system works and we cannot do anything about it as of now.. unless someone with radical views joins the education committee and decides to do something about it! There is a lot that needs to be done to revamp the education system.. if only someone would hear us.. :(.. I know it’s easier said than done.. but we’ll never know how good or bad it is till we don’t try right??
One thing i must mention is that i’m really glad that people are so helpful.. There are so many forums where you can ask your doubts and people readily answer them for you.. there are facebook groups.. there is PaGaLGuY.. Mba Univers.. and the kind of questions that are put up in such groups clear many of your doubts also..Truly, technology is showing its positive side out here :)..
