Allen Career Institute, Kota, organised the ‘Allen Champ’ – an event to honor and accredit academically brilliant students from classes 5th to 12th throughout the country- on Sunday, 16th August  . The event that was held at IL Auditorium in Kota started with the lighting of lamps, Ganesh Vandana and Saraswati Pooja and was followed by various cultural performances and the honouring ceremony.

Naveen Maheshwari, Director ALLEN Career Institute says, “This is the 2nd edition of ALLEN Champ which was initially launched in 2014 to motivate the talented students to perform better in their academic career.”

Students were awarded with a variety of prizes ranging from mementoes to cash rewards. Ranks 1 from all the classes namely; Sheetal (Class 5th), Shreyas Badami (Class 6th), Subarno Nath Roy (Class 7th), Dhyey Sankalp Gandhi (Class 8th), Siddharth Sridhar (Class 9th), Sourav Sahoo (Class 10th), Abhisek Sahu (Class 11th) and Sheshansh Agarwal (Class 12th) were given a champion’s Trophy, gold medals and certificates. Besides, the other rankers from all classes were also given monthly scholarships of Rs1000-2000 by renowned dignitaries like Dr. Anamik Shah (Vice Chancellor, Gujarat Vidhyapith), Prem Prakash (Commissioner, Income Tax Department, Kota), SK Sharma (Site Director, NPCIL, Kota), Naresh Bundel (Asst Commissioner, Central Excise & Service Tax Dept. Kota), Dr Girish Verma (Principal, Medical College, Kota) and KM Tandon (Sr. VP and Business Head, DSCL Kota). Cash prizes worth Rs 1.5 lakhs, Rs 1 lakh and Rs 51,000 were also meted out to ranks 1, 2 and 3 at the event respectively.

ALLEN Gurukul Trophies were given to the schools of respective students and their parents were also honoured with mementoes and certificates. Several parents have praised the winner selection and analyses process and have deemed the event a unique platform for student accreditation. The program jury evaluate students on the basis of their performance in 3 consecutive years and those with consistent academic achievements are rewarded. Akhil Agarwal, Asst, GM, NTPC Noida who is the father of Ayush Agarwal (Class 12) says, “I was amazed to see that there was no commercial approach in selection of ALLEN Champs.” Another parent, Shridhar Ramanathan, VP- Standard Chartered Bank, Chennai, father of Siddharth Sridhar (class 9) says, “ALLEN Champ has brought together students and parents from throughout the nation and enabled them to interact and discuss with each other about their child’s future.”

The event ended with a note of appreciation to all the guests who were specially invited to the occasion by Allen Career Institute. Students and parents departed with an expression of content looking forward to the event next year as well.
