AFCAT Exam 2019

The AFCAT or the Air Force Common Admission Test is the entrance exam for students conducted by the IAF (Indian Air Force) who recruit interested candidates in both the technical (Flying branch, Ground duty)  as well as non-technical (Ground Duty) fields. The examination is conducted in 3 stages- the written exam or in case of the technical candidates, the Engineering Knowledge Test (EKT), followed by an AFSB (Air Force Selection Board) interview and a medical test which leads to the final selection.

This year, the AFCAT exam was held for all candidates in the month of August on the 24th. However, due to certain unavoidable technical issues, the supplementary examination of AFCAT at the Srinagar centre had to be revoked and has now been rescheduled for September 25th.  The exam for the Leh and Jammu centres was conducted in accordance with the date and timing scheduled for all other centres between August 24th to 25th itself.

The AFCAT is a 2-hour long examination which is based online, and the questions are in the multiple-choice type pattern with 100 questions of 3 marks each. Candidates are tested in their General awareness, verbal ability in English, Mathematical ability and skills and obviously logical reasoning and military aptitude.
