IIM Amritsar Scholarship

IIM Amritsar, a prestigious management institute, has been recognised by the MHRD and the Government of Punjab since 2015. The institute provides scholarships to deserving students based on both need and merit, particularly to those who face financial constraints. However, it’s important to note that the number of scholarships is limited.

In addition to scholarships, students at IIM Amritsar have the option to apply for educational loans from various banks. They can directly contact their respective banks to inquire about eligibility criteria, loan amounts, and interest rates. Below is a list of scholarships available at IIM Amritsar:

IIM Amritsar Merit-Based MBA Scholarships 

IIM Amritsar provides a limited number of scholarships to eligible MBA students, which are distributed equally over the two-year MBA program. These scholarships are awarded as follows:

  1. MBA Scholarship in the 1st Year: Scholarships are granted to students based on their academic achievements prior to joining IIM Amritsar, their performance in the MBA admission process, and various diversity factors, including gender and economic background.

  2. Renewal of MBA Scholarship in the 2nd Year: Students have the opportunity to renew their scholarships from the 1st year based on their academic performance and conduct during their initial year of the MBA program, with a minimum CGPA of 2.96.

Students who are selected for these scholarships will receive notification of the award along with their admission offer letter.

IIM Amritsar Financial Assistance for Doctoral Programmes

IIM Amritsar provides financial support to its PhD students, which includes a monthly stipend, an annual contingency grant, and a research grant for attending conferences and seminars. Additionally, students receive medical insurance coverage as part of the IIM Amritsar Scholarships and Student Welfare Program.

IIM Amritsar Post Doctoral Fellowship Programmes

IIM Amritsar offers financial assistance to its post-doctoral fellows, although the number of available fellowships is limited. In addition to the fellowship amount, students are eligible for medical insurance coverage as per the latest student welfare policy at IIM Amritsar. Please note that the Contingency Grant is designed to cover expenses related to attending conferences, workshops, book purchases, and other research-related activities.

IIM Amritsar Government Scholarships 

National Fellowship and Scholarship for Higher Education of ST Students Scholarship – Ministry of Tribal Affairs.

Students who wish to pursue advanced degree courses such as MPhil, Ph.D., or integrated M.Phil + Ph.D. programs are eligible to apply for the National Fellowship Scholarships.

Eligibility for these scholarships is based on merit, and applicants must have a minimum of 55% marks at the postgraduate level from a recognised university.

There are 750 scholarship slots available, and there are no specific income criteria for students to qualify for the National Fellowship Programs.

To be eligible for National Fellowship Scholarships, applicants should not be more than 36 years old as of July 1st of the relevant year when the scholarship is awarded.

Merit-cum-means based Scholarship Scheme for Minority Communities – Ministry of Minority Affairs.

The Merit-cum-means based Scholarships are designed to offer financial support to economically disadvantaged yet academically accomplished students who belong to minority communities.

These scholarships are open to students who have a strong academic track record and are pursuing professional and technical courses.

Applicants must have an aggregate of over 50% marks (or equivalent grade) in their previous final examination to be eligible.

The annual income of the student’s family should not exceed INR 2.50 lakhs.

Students from minority communities are eligible to apply for scholarships provided by IIM Amritsar.

A total of 60,000 “Fresh” + “Renewal” Scholarships are available.
