Indian Institute of Science Education and Research Trivandrum, popularly known as IISER Trivandrum was established in 2006 and founded by the Ministry of Human Resource Development or MHRD, Government of India.

IISER Trivandrum aims to deal with integrate academics along with research so that undergraduate, doctoral and postdoctoral research work can be carried out altogether.
