Bihar Police Sub-ordinate Services Commission advertised the vacancies for the position of Sub Inspector with Bihar Excise Department on 21st May 2018. As per the notification, 126 vacancies were to be filled under the recruitment drive, and the selected candidates were to be appointed across various districts in the state. Applications were invited from interested candidates for the above-mentioned vacancies.
The application process commenced from 22nd May 2018 and completed on 30th June 2018. The last date to pay the examination fee was also 30th June 2018. Only those candidates who had completed the application form online and paid the requisite application fee before the last date were shortlisted to appear for the examination.
The candidates were selected based on their performance in the preliminary exam, which was conducted on 9th June 2019, as well as the mains written exam which was conducted on 25th August 2019.

While the preliminary result was announced on 5th July 2019, the mains result was announced on 12th September 2019. Based on the result in the examination, a merit list was released for the stages of the interview, document verification, PST, and PET to be completed on 18th October 2019.
After all the selection stages have been completed, now the final merit list of the selected candidates has been released. The result has been declared on the official website of Bihar Police Sub-ordinate Services Commission, i.e. www.bpssc.bih.nic.in. Candidates must log-on to the official website immediately and check their name in the merit list.
