At least JBS does not ask for marksheets of 10 and 12 grade...
it will though ask you a copy of the bachlors degree transcript and certificate....
rest everything is self explanatory on the respective websites...

For starters... believe me you that you will not agree... but you are a little young to start thinking about doing an international MBA.
Unless.. Unless you have already started some small business of your while studying and you are already a tech guru on verge of a business innovation idea...
My suggestion... and you may choose not to avail it... is to wait for a few years... maybe work .. if not pursue an MS if you wish to continue studying and get some amount of quality experience behind you to get you to understand the intricacies of the neccessity of an MBA degree...
Do not consider an international MBA as one more degree as it is too costly... unless again you have parents who want you to spend it all... well in that case they will help you get thru to the top tier schools talking to the management... or if you have the above attributes mentioned...
As i said... wait for a few years... then apply... there will me many advisors aroung even then.. hopefully i shall also maintain my contact with Pguy to help future MBA grads....
All the best for your BE for now...

Well LBS is offering a Masters programme in Management from this year- this is for people with out any experience; fee is about 22000 Pounds.
LSE and Oxford have pre-expereince Masters programmes in economics, engineering and management etc.
Check their websites.
HEC has an excellent Master of Science (Grand Ecole) programme for freshers. This is a highly respected programme in France, even more than its MBA.
There are also Masters programmes at Bocconi University, Milan in Economics and management, Finance etc.
Then, you have entry to the famous Harvard - they are willing to consider applicants without any experience and they give an offer of admission for the selected candidate in the batch starting 2 years after finishing his undergrad, so that the candidate can gain a minimum work experience prior to acutally joining the programme.
All the programmes mentioned above are very good programmes- to get in you have to be really good in academics and also extra-curriculars etc. You would need GMAT for most of these programmes

Hey Friends,
Has any one applied for the 4th stage application for Oxford MBA and hasn't yet got any response from the school like me? The outcome of the last stage application is assumed to have come out on 26 June, but there's still not a notification from the school to my box. Does anyone have any idea whether the school will send a notification to all applicants or only those who are qualified for an interview?
Thanks a lot for any response.

Hello Friends,
Are the placements of Oxbridge better than IIMA PGPX/ ISB?
Know a guy from Said 2008, he mentioned the college provides very less in terms of placement services and it is your networking which helps. He came back to India and got a job of around 18-20 lakhs in a reputed firm as thr were not many openings abroad.
If there are any alumni on the forum, pls share your experience on the placements front...
Cheers,

Many of the international programs, specially the 1-year programs have similar approaches to placement. Unlike Indian schools where most employers come to campus and recruit by the dozen, it works differently in many European programs. The students have to take on the onus of placing themselves. The school can offer support in terms of organising networking events, conferences, guest lectures etc. But in the end, it's your baby.
That's why it helps if you have a strong foundation of professional skills before you get into such a program.

I know the Indian programmes cost about Rs 20 Lakhs and the one-year programmes like Judge/SAID cost about Rs 35 Lakhs including living expenses at the current exchange rates.
I understand that the UK programmes will have a much better brand in UK/Europe and possibly in SEA. This also might be of help in terms of better job opportunities in UK, though things are bad just now!
As far as Indian job market is concerned, I would suspect that ISB and PGPX/PGPEX and EPGP will command at least equal, if not better brand value.
I have always wondered what is the thought process behind the people's choice of Judge and SAID over ISB and other one year programmes at IIMs!
Are these seen as superior and better value for money and do people choose SAID/ Judge over ISB/PGPX etc! or is it that the people who couldn't make it to ISB or PGPX/EX try and get into Judge and SAID!
It will be nice if the applicants and people who got admits and have decided to join these programmes can give the thinking behind their choices.
I mean no offence; my intention is only to gain better understanding.
Thanks.

The most appealing / differentiating factor is the classmates. In IIMs you find a prototype class of Indian Engineers and CAs. Of course there are other profiles, but the diversity is limited. In Oxford and Cambridge you meet so many different people around the world, that it totally changes your perception. And you build a very strong network of smart and interesting people around the world, not to mention a very strong alumni network of these universities. This is unprecedented compared to even US B schools.

As of now, I guess the placements at IIM are a bit better than Oxbridge for the simple reason that Indian economy is still growing at least by 6% while UK economy is shrinking. The most troubled people are careers jumpers. There are very very few people in my class who made it to consulting or investment banking / private equity without prior experience in the same sector.

If you are looking at a career in India, ISB/IIMs would be an equally good option. However, if you already have an international background in terms of experience, and are hoping to leverage your MBA brand internationally, then the Oxbridge halo is difficult to beat. Unlike an ISB/IIM, which may not get the same response from an employer in the US or Europe, your Oxbridge tag can be a HUGE advantage.
Add to this the fact that the 8 century old universities that house these MBA programs, already have an impressive alumni base across the world (in almost all walks of life - business, politics, literature, philosophy, nobel prize winners, entrepreneurs...) and in India too, if you are looking for something beyond just the MBA degree, then go for Oxbridge.
Otherwise, our homegrown ISB/IIMs without the same level of access to funds and resources as their international counterparts, are a fantastic choice anyway.
