Oxford 2008 Application and Beyond

I am starting this thread for Oxford SAID aspirants.

I have one question :

Has anybody faced issues/difficulties while uploading documents to SAID application. e.g. i have 10 transcripts. How can I compress all in one word doc for less then 500K?

Hi Ajay.. I am also applying to Oxford for 2008 batch.. Lets keep this thread for this year apps.. I too cudn't find one for this year applicants..

Hi Ajay and Simz, have you both already submitted the apps?
Do we have time till the end of the day on this friday 26th oct to submit the app?

Ajay, i luckily did not have the problem of uploading the transcripts. The size of the document depends on the tyoe of scan. try some other b&w scanner. I know you must hv atried it - but it's muft advice.

Hey Shiva,

I havent submitted my apps yet.. I will be doing it in the 2nd round.. I am currently working on apps of other places so wont b able to meet the first deadline..

I talked to adcom. They gave me a temporary email id to send all docs.
btw - have you guys got conformation about fee payment?

Hi Ajay,
what docs are to be sent by email? I submitted my app on the eleventh hour on 26th. I just got a auto generated email confirmation that the app is submitted.
BTW i didn't get the confirmation of fee payment. I sent the app fee form five six days earlier to deadline date but they have not debited my card till date.

I had to use email option as was not able to upload. Size was more then the mentioned on application site

Even i have not recieved any confirmation

Isnt it strange that they are asking for our credit card details for application fee ? shouldnt a univ like oxford have a payment gateway on their site?

How do I check my application status ?
