i think cudgel is kinda stick.now the use of cudgel is like.. taking up cudgel against/for
USE:
Afgan women taking up cudgel for humn rights etc..
NGOs taking up cudgels against child labour
here the meaning is to
1) champion a cause or engage in some conflict/dispute(for/against)
Now if that is right here is my word
gauntlet
tashbeeh na poori ho saki; terey husn-ey jamaal ki
misaal key liyey lafz na rahey ;awaaz ke liyey dum na raha
-Varun.

If somebody is idiosyncratic he/she behaves in a way which in not usual
Also thr is one jargon i think like idiosyncratic risk associated with the stock market, although i donnow the meaning
Now if i m corrct, allow me to put the nxt word hr..
sinecure
EDITED:
Now i just want to let you junta know somethn..gauntlet originally was a form of punishment where people armd with stcks used 2 stand in 2 rows facing each other n the a person was forcd 2 run betwn them while thy beat the person
tashbeeh na poori ho saki; terey husn-ey jamaal ki
misaal key liyey lafz na rahey ;awaaz ke liyey dum na raha
