However my choices are limited to a certain extent. Just wanted to know which colleges i still stand a chance. So I can prepare accordingly
Please help out!

12th: 55pc
Grad (B.B.M): 56pc
Work ex 6 months
PG (Mass Comm): (about the same as above)

Colleges will depend on your performances in the exams...so do work hard on it...all the best.....
Hey puys..
I have a unique query.. I did my engg in september 2009.. And, took CAT the same year.. gt a pathetic percentile.. so, i started hunting for the job after the results gt declared in march 2010.. worked as a php trainee for five months in some IT company and later resigned and worked as free lancer till december 2010.. Meanwhile, i also applied to an year-long course PGDIBO from IGNOU.. Im about finish my course in july 2011 and thinking of taking up CAT again.. I feel its tough for me if i work and prepare simultaneously.. so will dropping i guess "again" is justifiable with the work i did n a IGNOU course.. most of people say that i've done nothing all these years.. so low on confidence just because of that..I have two interview calls of BANK POs.. so in case if i get a job i may join as PO.. but intend to take CAT even after getting the job..
Help me out plz!!

Honestly, I do not see any question above - so am assuming you want to ask whether you should take up the job and prepare ( if you get a job ?)

- Ofcourse, you should take up your job and prepare simultaneously for CAT or any other exams. By taking the job, you will automatically rule out the possibility of your wanting to join anything but the top institutes.

Hello,
Please answer my query ASAP!!!
Does TCS BPO job worth taking.I mean would its work experience considered @ bschools??

hey subish..
thank you so much.. one more thing..
whether 5 months as a php trainee and then freelance along with a course from IGNOU can justify 1 year I spent..

Hi everyone I am anvesha pursuing engineering from Mumbai university...I wanted to ask if MU university considers only 4th year marks as graduation marks? Do we have to mention only the 4th marks for post mba placements .Please help

BPO job is not for someone who aims for SP Jain.
U r only 20 so jusst prepare for CAT( and not for BPOs)
If its a voice based work,it wont be considered.

I dont know how much difference it makes by dropping an year , you being a graduate in psychology can look for jobs in schools and spend rest of the day in preparation , try and keep a back up , so that you dont end up selecting a b school , that you didn't want to join , but you will join as u already had dropped an year

MBA will certainly help you in getting a good job if you pursue it from a decent b-school.

1. ROI is good as in you get a platform and opportunity to get into the biggest corporates
2. No one can decide specialization for you. You can only discover your inclination towards any stream after spending 7-8 months in a b-school
3. Most the profiles are of management consultants, analysts, managers etc. but the growth path is very good as compared to a non-mba
4. Join any coaching like Career Launcher, Time, IMS etc. after your personal research and then they will guide you till you get selected
5. No need to go through your BBA books and sorry no idea about LLM.

Hope this helps!

hi,I have done masters in software engineering.

I have been placed in Wipro Technologies as a Project engineer ,having 15 months service agreement.CTC= 3-3.5 lacs p.a.

Also, placed in headstrong in Noida as an Associate, having 2 yrs of service agreement.CTC= 4 lacs p.a.

Which among the two is better to join as a fresher?

And if I have to switch to teaching profession after an year or so,will my industrial experience count or not?

Headstrong is any time the better option. Reasons
1. Recruits from the premium colleges like IITs and NIT
2. Work will be of financial domain which will be good for future.
3. They pay less but quality of work is much better
4. If you have plans to switch in some banks later in your career then it will help

Hope this helps!

Hello all! I am new to PG

I know it is not the right time to ask.. But I need to know some info about this

I have got above 90% in both X (2003) & XII (2005).

After which I joined l l P M, New Delhi (Arindam Chaudhuri Institute) for my BBA course (85%) and got placed(2008 ) in a KPO's Investment Research department. I'm having 2 years of workex now.

I am also doing BBA through Distance Education from a UGC recognised University and got above 65% in the first two years (currently in my final year).

Bcoz I'll complete my graduation in May 2012, and wish to apply for this years CAT exam.... If they'll ask how did u get the job I somehow have to reveal that I studied in l l P M

My Questions
1. I wish to know will I be eligibe for CAT exams if I show my distance education BBA ?
2. Everybody know l l P M targeting IIM in its advertisements. Since I have done a course from l l P M, will it harm my probability in Personal Interview to crack, (if I pass with good percentile which I'm sure)??

Note: I belong to NC-OBC category

Please respond to this query as it would really help me in planning my next six months accordingly

Dear All

I would need immediate help from you guys. I am a mechanical engineer (BE Mech 2008 passout). I have been working in a software firm for the last 2.5 years. In Jan 2011 I decided to attempt for CAT this year end (let me also mention that this is the first time I will be attempting CAT). I joined T.I.M.E center in kolkata (classroom coaching). But due to some unavoidable circumstances I was unable to start a full fledeged preparation. I joined T.I.M.E on 1st Jan 2011. Today is 29 May 2011. I have hardly done 1% of the preparation in these four months. I have decided to get on with the preparation from now on.

I request all of you out there to suggest a detailed study plan so that I can fair well in CAT this year. Is it to late to start preparing now?...

Please help me. Please suggest a study plan.

Hiiee ya,see it is not late yet to prepare for CAT 2011.If you are dedicated enough, you can crack it by studying for 4 months. But you need to study smart from now on.Firstly, know which all are your strong and weak areas and work towards them.Make sure you fill the holes in your weak area so that you clear the sectional. Also, develop on your strengths to maximise your score.Take as much MOCK CATs as possible to know your performance on national level and develop a strategy accordingly.Rest if you have any query, feel free to PM me dude :cheerio:
