As far as my suggestion is concerned, I would say enjoy your time till you come here or do any thing regarding your career plans ahead.. you need not do anything to prepare yourself for Infosys, they will train you in everything they want from you.
I have been in infy for more than 17 months and i did not know to write the most basic C program when i joined in Mysore So,no preparation required for here
doing ccna has nothing to do with infy...its just i want to do ccna since long time and thought to utilize this time for ccna...regarding the post on infy forum i did post about ccna @ccna forum but their was no reply..here @tis forum there are many working professionals and they do hv idea regarding this....
I, Abhishek Jain subsequent to the selection process was offered the Role of Systems Engineer in Job Level 3. The location of my initial reporting and training was Mysore, India. The date of my joining was scheduled to be November 22, 2010 according to the offer letter.
By mistake i registered on the link https://careers.infosys.com/EJoining/ASPX/EJOININGDefaultX.aspx and subsequently my joining date has been changed to 7th June, 2010. I was not aware of the fact that registering on the link would lead to acceptance of the offer letter.
It is not possible for me to join on the revised date. What is the procedure for reverting back the joining date to 22 nd November.
I got the offer letter a month back. And its now when I read abhisheks post tht am coming to hear abt Ejoining. Whats tht? Why din infosys send any mail asking us to register there? Or is it not mandatory? Nd i never knew we could prepone the DOJ!!... Can anyone help us???:)

i seriously doubt that registering on the link will make a big difference......since according to Infosys official records, you are still joining on 22nd november.......
im undergoing training right now and in fact some people completed the e-joining formalities on paper after coming here(which means its not a big deal)
Do one thing, call up Infosys on the helpline number mentioned on the e-joining website....if you don't have it, then PM me

Hey for girls the dress code is as follows: Mon-Thurs- Suits(Salwar Kameez) or Business Formals(Shirt with trousers or Skirts. Tie not mandatory.) Friday: You have an option of Business Casuals(Jeans-Prefrebly plain alongwith tees or shirts)

You may opt for lighter colored shirts. There is no restriction as such on colors. just dont wear a party-going bright shirts. :nono:
Tie is madatory on Mon & Tues for guys only. On Wed and Thurs, you can wear half-sleeved shirts as well.

difficulty depends on individual... if u can grasp concepts quickly and put genuine effort u should not have any problem.
termination stats - roughly 10%... don't ask for proof... this was shared by someone senior and experienced personally. be positive and be in the rest 90%
Don't join Infy!!!! I have been working here from past 2 yrs. The most pathetic company ever. They only have time to brag about how they look after their employees but not even 1% is actually done. I am looking for the 1st opurtunity to quit this company.
To al those who are woried abt training.. The technologies you will be trained in and the one's you will put in all efforts for 4 months to pass will not be even offered to you while you work in production. They will all b different technologies. Don't ask why they do this. I still haven't got an answer to it yet!!!!!

hi.....i recently got a new mail and offer letter for the preponed date of joining from October to June:w00t: (without any this ejoining crap website:nono:).......anyone else got a preponement of their joining by mail ?.... can anyone share what could be the reason behind this sudden preponement by 4 months.....me from non-cs background ?
i too got a new offer letter stating that the old one was considered to be null and void and my doj was preponed from july 19 to june 24. but obviously donno the reason for this change in doj.

cud u share where u guys are from and which colleges(n streams)? cud be that they are preponing for a region or stream or college.....maybe there's a pattern
