Shortlisting Criteria of B-Schools - A Repository -

B-School shortlisting criteria have been getting complex over the years and this year has been no different. So here is an attempt to try and figure out the criteria of diff B-Schools and create a repository of sorts so that it will help future aspirants before hand whether they should apply to a particular B-School or not. Example if XYZ institute does not call anyone who has scored below 65 in graduation irrespective of their scores in the entrance exam then it makes no sense for a person with 55 in grad to spend almost 1.5k bucks in applying to the college.

So lets do this for the next generation puys and of course for also those who would have to reapply next year! I would try to upload the criteria for as many B-Schools as possible. But would require lots of co-operation from all the puys for the same. So the house is open. Please do the honours

XLRI's shortlisting criteria for this year (based on XAT 2009) from their site
SELECTION CRITERIA
A candidate may apply for a maximum of three programmes. Those who apply for multiple programmes may be called for multiple interviews and/or group discussions. The selection criteria for different programmes may differ depending on the nature of the programme. XAT written test will have multiple components and you need to maximize your performance in each of these components. In its pursuit of academic excellence, XLRI actively encourages the students from diverse backgrounds. While preparing the short-listed candidates for the interview, in addition to XAT Performance, we may factor in academic ability and the relevant work experience. Besides performance in the personal interviews (and/or group discussions), we will also consider XAT performance, relevant work experience, academic ability, extra curricular activities etc. while preparing the final list.
XAT 2009 had three sections – `Verbal Ability and Logical Reasoning (VA)’, `Quantitative Ability and Data Interpretation (QA)’ and `Analytical Reasoning and Decision Making Ability (AR)’.
For Personnel Management and Industrial Relations Programme a total of 600 applicants having more than 92.69 percentile in VA, 84.58 percentile in QA, 80.13 percentile in RA, and overall 95.0 percentile have been shortlisted for Group Discussion and Personal Interview.
For Business Management Programme a total of 530 applicants having more than 90.03 percentile in VA, 94.9 percentile in QA, 90.21 percentile in RA, and overall 98.03 percentile have been shortlisted for Personal Interview.

Minimum percentile/Score for giving Calls: 2008-910 people called for GD/PI. 2009- 1200 people
Minimum Sectional Percentiles/Scores (If any): Varies with score
Brief Description of the shortlisting process: Essay Writing (20 mins, 300 words).
GD: 1-2 mins of introduction by each member of group. then open house discussion. every member moderates the group for 1-2mins
Special points to note:
Interviewers are known to ask questions related to Trade (Import Export, Budget etc)

MICA: PG Diploma Programmes - Admissions
Direct copy-paste from the site seems the best option. 
Stage - I
CAT/ GMAT
Candidates have to apply on the basis of CAT 2008 or GMAT (Score of 31 December 2006 or later).
Indian students can also apply with GMAT scores.
The CAT cut-off percentile for the 2009-2011 batch.
MICA will shortlist candidates with over all 90 percentile in CAT and with sectional cut off of 50 percentile and above in DI & QT. For verbal comprehension, sectional cut off will be 60 percentile.
GMAT score of 600+ can also be considered in lieu of CAT.
Stage - II
MICA Admissions Test (MICAT)
Candidates shortlisted from CAT/GMAT will be invited to appear for the MICAT, which will be conducted in Feburary / March at Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Chennai, Delhi, Kolkata, and Mumbai. The MICAT is designed to assess analytical and divergent thinking, written communication skills and familarity with the Indian ethos.
Note: The Institute reserves the right to change any MICAT centre without assigning any reason.
Stage - III
Group Exercise (GE) and Personal Interview (PI)
Candidates shortlisted on the basis of MICAT will be invited for Group Excercise and Personal Interview at MICA campus, Ahmedabad later in February / March 2009.

Brief Description of the shortlisting process: : Specific Weightages are assigned to Interview, GD , Essay Writing, Academic profile (incl. 10th, 10+2 & Graduation Marks) , Extra Curriculars & Work Experience.
Final Cumulative scores are calculated on the basis of these weights & then final list is being prepared.
Seats: PGDM: 120 , PGDMHR: 60 [ 15% Seats are reserved for company sponsored candidates in both the programs ]
