CAT and Related DiscussionDiscuss information and B-schools under the toughest and most exclusive management entrance exam in India. The CAT - The Common Admission Test.
It is a good score , but unfortunately not as good as required by NITIE!! going by last yr's cutoff which was around 97.5%ile.
The cut off for NITIE last yr wasnt 97.5, but sth at around 96.5. But going by that and considering the number of applicants for CAT, it might go as high as 97.5 this time I guess.
It can go either ways. There is this unwanted hype given to the cutoffs. Even MDI thread had people saying the cutoffs would be much higher than last year, it ended up a percent lesser in the end. The number of people writing CAT might have increased (which I assume is the reasoning behind your thought) but there a large number of people above 98 who haven't been able to score uniformly in all sections and that might pull down the overall cutoff (as NITIE considers sectional cutoffs; how much nobody knows).
Hope it helps.

HACKED???? Chill bro.
I guess it is more a case of they updating the site than the official site being hacked. Hope, it is the results page they are updating.;-)
Relaxxxxx..... You guys probably have Google Desktop installed on your machines and the site is responding to a probable down-server time as "Malware Warning"
Am not tryig to speculate... just putting speculation to rest... they might be updating their site... OR.. their Web-server might be down .. Now whether that is coz they are updating their site or not is anybody's guess!

Yes bro... Even I hope its the same.. But earlier whenever the site's down, some apache CentOS server test page used to appear (it's the default one) but this time, it's redirecting to some spam advertising site which has some adult content too! So, definitely looks like its been hacked...
Guess its time for CSE guys of IE batch to set things right! ;-)
