i am from delhi. i still havent recieved either the conf letter or the mail from XIMB.. any body else with the same situation..
worried as this is my only conf call.
Has anyoneone got the final letter from XIMB, stating that they have been selected???
Waitlisted.And no letter.Growing very anxious.Mumbai gang has started recving letters 3 days back.
I wont be joining ximb as got thru sp jain. so that is 1 hope increased for the contenders. best of luck

XIMB Seniors,
In the call letter they have mentioned about migration certificate. Is it COMPULSORY to get it??? How do we get it??
Also they want a charcter sketch from my college principal. Now it depends whether my college principal recogonises me. Is this also compulsory. Cant a character sketch from my workplace do???

congrats for getting thru XIMB. I am having work ex of 18 months and I desparatley want to have some info about lateral placements in XIMB, wrt, min number of months required to be eligible for laterals and what all companies visit the campus for laterals????
If you have any info, post it asap...

Hey Tushar! I'm in B'lore and I got my call letter today. I'm sure you'll get yours soon.
The XIMB call letter was the most informative and helpful call letter of the three I got this year. A definite plus point for XIMB....as compared to MICA.
But what really got my attention was the loan offer from SBI. I approached my local SBI abt an edu loan for MICA and had a lil communication problem with the loan officer. It was great to see that if I decide to choose XIMB; that,atleast, will not be a problem!!!
P.S: I would still appreciate any input on the MICA vs XIMB topic!!!!
called up ximb today... was told that at wl14, i stand a fair chance. Another friend of mine with wl41 had called a few days back. He was told that last yr, the wl had cleared till38.So, he had a 50-50 chance.

btw i got some queries for ur ximb.. guyz.
when u say laterals.. how exactly is it lateral.. is it a kind of a value addition.
say for example a guy is a programmer and after mba he gets a job as a project manager.. is that a only lateral placement
or a guy from it industry.. wants to shift over to a field like I banking ( which is my case)
is it lateral or would he joining the finance industry as a fresher.. / would he be able to bring value of any kind to the table in the finance industry..
also if you look at finance, im looking at investment banking like equity analysis /m&A; and kind
guyz please let me know... my the sole purpose of my mba is a career and industry shift..

Just for some info on WL - last year went till 25 or so......i think....if i recall correctly.....
now vs. NM and SIBM....loads of arguments have happened on two to three threads wich can be checked....i wud say.....if u ignore placement data wich is (avg salary) fudged......and compare on other parameters den XIMB wins hands down...on all aspects.....
As Kishore had said...XIMB has a simple formula..... summation of salaries of accepted offers (can be basic or ctc watever is quoted) / no. of students placed
any other queries bring dem up.....i think now they will be answered at a faster rate......
For next few days chilling at home in Delhi and den maybe to Bangalore for some travelling (basically to pass 2 months somehow).....

The admissions office told my friend that it cleared till 38. Anyway, moi waitlisted at 14...hoping to make it.
I have only one concern.....66.66% of the seats are reserved for the orissa domicile ppl. I think not too many of them would leave the course. Do so many open ctegory ppl leave ximb that the wl moves to around25-30(+60). I jus hope that the trend continues, as i am counting on ximb ( preferring it over sibm).
