We have many guys who have got admit from Marshall
Do we have any community on ORkut or any yahoo group where we all admitted ones can have discussions.
If not then lets create one, where ever most of us want it.

Thanks a lot jitender; really appreciate it.

Alicia is a very easy going lady.
She made me quiet comfortable before she started asking questions.

she started with my CV and asked few questions on that.

Questions asked were:
brief about experience till now
why USC,
why now
what is leadership according to me,
toughest time for me as a leader.
international experience,
my strengths
one weak point in my application.

i was pretty comfortable while talking with her.
i also asked her a few questions related to economy slowdown and technology scenario in LA.

overall i felt it was a good interview and got a feeling that i should get an admit :)
Total time was around 30 mins

From my interviews what i have got to know is that they dont have application essays.
but Interviewer always has ur CV atleast.
So yes you need to brief about ur goals and other things mentioned in application.

Usually it starts with an intro from ur side with summary of experience and then why MBA.
so goals usually come out without explicitely asking.

They will definitely have ur resume.

For me, the interview started with resume walkthrough.
current profile and what is the hardest part of my job.
Why USC.
Why MBA.
Interests.
And a different question: 2 people I wud take on a long ride with me and why.

Hi Guys,
Congratulations to everyone who got their admits from USC Marshall
school of business. Last week, I got my admit to USC Part-time MBA
program.
I am sure, I would run into most of you guys during our program.
I reside in Irvine and work for Cisco. I lived in Santa Monica near
UCLA before, really good location. If anyone needs any input on LA,
feel free to ping me.

Received my admit package on friday, got a 50% fellowship....how are the living expenses in LA?

Congrats on your admit. LA living expenses are very high, especially the rents.
You should certainly plan for aprox $1K living expenses a month. This is considering
that you would not have a car and for certain would be having roomies.
It is more expensive than midwest or Southern states, but ofcourse more opportunites.

I live on the east coast and plan to make a trip down to LA for admit weekend. Do you have any suggestions on the best bang for the buck hotels, in a safe area, close to campus? How is the public transport system down there?
