Hi dreaming_high, Why do you say that USC has placement reports only till 2004? I hope you have read this: http://www.marshall.usc.edu/assets/028/7860.pdf Or, are u referring to a more detailed report? I know that the brand name of USC is not great nationally or internationally. However, in Southern California or SoCal (San Diego, Los Angeles and Orange County), its HUGE! I have talked to top honchos in companies in LA, who are Marshall Alumni. They vouch for the network. Better than Wharton SoCal club some would say. Rest of the world: not so great. So, take it up only if you dont mind living in SoCal for a while after ur MBA. It has the best climate USA can offertrust me! I met a current student who chose Marshall over Haas because she intends to stay in LA after the MBA. Another point to consider would be ur vertical: Marshall is not too finance friendly. Finance guys should def head to the east according to me. Marshall has some attractive industries: media, entertainment, fashion that are unique to very few schools. Abt international students: Lets face it: H1B is a struggle everywhere. I know of ppl in Wharton struggling for sponsorship. Whether it is worth spending 130K on quality education is something you have to decide based on your limitations and aspirations. I would prefer investing in an MBA over investing in stocks J I know there is some funding in 2nd year, based on 1st year performances. Lemme know if you need any more insights!! you will easily get a scholarship. One thing which I have perceived in this MBA process is that the higher the GMAT the higher the chances of scholarship. Basically when most of us fall in IT engineers part GMAT becomes the differentiating factor. Also a school wants to pull in candidates with high GMAT as it would push up the average GMAT of the school and hence rankings.
As venkat said, dont worry over the incomplete status page. Just check it for whether recos have been received or not.
n BTW, 'essays very good'.... now thats what i call confidence! I was still updating mine when i submitted them and still cant say they were very good..
Still I have an admit and m pretty sure u wud get there too!!

First of all, a big congrats to all of you who got the admit...now i have quite a few (crazy) questions, seem to bothering only me!!!
I applied in the R2. GMAT 730, 2.5 yrs at SAP labs, EC: very good, essays very good.
My appln status indicates 'incomplete' ever since then though they hv received all documents. everytime i write to them, they say we'll tell u if there is a problem wid ur file... it takes a while to process everything!
The results are out since 28th march and i havent seen the change of status. I again wrote to the school and they say tht the decision notification is ongoing.
Anyone facing this very issue???? Please help... its getting quite frustrating u know...

I would like to ask all who have attended telephone interview that What should I keep in mind while replying? I mean are there any specific things I should take care during interview?
I am wondering what / how to prepare for it because I have attended many interviews so far but not a single telephone interview.
Appreciate if somebody can find time to share other aspects of their telephone interview experience as you all have already mentioned about interview questions in detail.

Alicia is a very easy going lady. She made me quiet comfortable before she started asking questions.
she started with my CV and asked few questions on that.
Questions asked were: brief about experience till now why USC, why now what is leadership according to me, toughest time for me as a leader. international experience, my strengths one weak point in my application.
i was pretty comfortable while talking with her. i also asked her a few questions related to economy slowdown and technology scenario in LA.
overall i felt it was a good interview and got a feeling that i should get an admit :) Total time was around 30 mins

I didn't send them any update. I got wait-listed on 31st March and after 3 days got interview call. Thats why I was a bit surprised. btw... I have scheduled my interview for 15th April. Lets see....:)
