mukul pathak a pshycology faculty in vajiram and ravi has declared that there is going to be a change in upsc mains exam from 2015....there wont be any optionals from 2015!!! he assured to take this for granted...official report would come by this year end or early next year....he has lot of connections with insiders of upsc....so dont bother about any confusions about when its gonna change....make sure u crack civil services by 2014 in the present pattern!!!

its not me who is correct its mukul pathak who is correct....upsc gives 2 years time for change major pattern so that nobody is at stakes....minor changes are implemented accordingly like csat....as so many people would have already taken the coaching for different optionals, upsc would give 2 years time for the present pattern to continue....when the report arrives the changes will be mentioned so 2 years time is more than enough to adapt the change by everyone....so dont be worried and gear up to crack the civils before the change arrives....all the best guys!!!
Can one expect a settled life after clearing the upsc ? As far as i know posting is inevitable..
And i am not too keen to move out of Delhi. Even if i do, i wouldn't be too keen to move to the North East(NE is good for vacationing but i cant imagine living there).

@sparky_fin you can go for SSC (for group B jobs). yes. bank PO's are transfered dusring their probation period from one city to another. after that it all depend on promotions :)
nd for UPSC if you wanna stay in delhi than you should have strong contacts(as per my hearing)
@itsanujsingh thanks! but are you certain that PSUs banks have mandatory transfer from one city to another ?? And what does group B job stand for? afaik, there is a Combined Graduate Level Examination
@sparky_fin yeah that's the exam for various group B jobs(non- gazetted for initial years).
yes i am sure that if you are taking promotions than you have to leave your city(this is the new policy of banks active from last 2 years)
@sparky_fin the complete name of the exam is SSC-CGL(i.e; staff selection commission combined graduate level exam ) :)

through ssc u can get cabinet secretariat job which is solely based in delhi.
and no comments from my side about the 2nd point
@sparky_fin that 1 can say no to cse just to stay in his hometown.(given he gets that oppurtunity). No ill feelings bro but its just that ki its very tuf to buy this thing
