but in the end only you have to prepare...
They will give you material and you have to study that...
So, i suggest you to read re read and re re read The Hindu...

@bhanu.nitksthough there are more than a dozen coaching centers for upsc in bangalore not even a handful can provide u good coaching.i can throw some light on some institutes if it could be helpful. -Universal coaching @ vijaynagar- decent enough for prelims you can get some direction but with regards to mains--check out who d faculty is and do some research on d faculty. the test series here and not conducted promptly . -global ias @rajajinar---not worth mentioning. not sure abt their other branches -innovative ias @ r.t nagar---u would ruin ur time and money if u go here.there is no sincerity and professionalism on part of this institute-(i can say so by the experience of a close friend who joined here.....he suffered a lot coz of this institute he wasted time here...there was supposedly just 15-18 students in the insti and the teacher would take classes as n when the students request.....and he had lots to complain abt this insti...so go here at your own peril) -spardha chaitra--they say its good for kpsc coaching (particularly kannada) not sure abt upsc. -JTS--you gotta be careful if u decide to join here. -this insti has a flashy website and they give loud speaking advertisements and have a good infrastructure....BUT: --dont just get impressed by the infrastucture when u visit their office and join.. its a highly commercial and bussiness oriented institute...they just dont care for their students.. they charge like 27k for prelims and around 23k for every optional(n optionals are covered in a matter of 13 days only!! ) ----itseems earlier till like the 2011 batch the faculty was really good all from delhi and at that time there use to just 1 batch for upsc ,now the situation is that they have 3 or more batches for upsc prelims and they have not provided good faculty...(.i personnaly spoke to some students at that institute) ----so be prudent ,visit the institute ask them the faculty details for every subject..find out about the faculty on net or from friends in delhi if u have any... --and never pay up for prelims and optionals coaching together....as i said earlier they are making money like hell f=by running so many batches eaching having 80+ students but they would never refund your money even if there is some fault on the part of the institute. --Rao s @malleshwaram---decent enough is what i have heard but join here for the optional only if you have more than a year to prepare--coz he takes only 4hrs/subject in a week... whatever is stated above is from personal experience and experiences of close friends.. ucc for prelims was good...mains i am still not satisfied with any of the institutes..i have joined and quit at 2 of the above
@Greenshark2 : yaar if any body tells you it just now, then it would be just rumour mongering. no one knows the right answer but UPSC. and it is not going to declare it till the process gets completed so wait till may next year
see dude even if the committee proposes to change the pattern it will give time and then implement the change....csat ke liye time ki zaroorat nahi thi so it was instantaneous...but mains needs time so if there is change proposed then there will be a time frame mentioned about the implementation of the change....

@sourabhgupta78 : brother for pub ad. keep a print out of syllabus in front of you(no soft copy) then start fadia and fadia i.e. paper 1. never read any book cover to cover. take one topic from syllabus, start from first, and read it from fadia. take down points. may be in book itself or separate copy to help u in revision later. try and do 1-2 topics daily the course would be over in 2-3 months. so statrt with fadia, later prasad and prasad, 90% of your paper 1 would be completed by it. for rest refer internet.
then read again topics wise for paper 2. rajni goyal is base book. those topics not there shud be done by some other like maheshwari or internet. integrate DD Basu for both g s polity and Paper 2. after you have done basic books, read 2nd ARC reports download fom net and make their notes. for supllementing in answers.
APFC is GAzetted officer class 1 job Equivalent to Indian Revenue services. exceelent career with starting Basic of 15600 as in all class 1 Govt job

Only Desirable Not Essential if a candidate Posses Diploma in Labour Law then he will be preferred it means only this , but there are lot of other factors too like ur written marks, ur performance , attitude during interview work ex etc. so at this point of time just prepare for the written & all the best
