So vision finaly you started your Journey to UPSC All The Best 😃 Regarding the RAO 's notes for Sociology some of my freinds studied their Notes its Ok Type you can go for it but Dont rely Solely on Notes. Do start with Text Books, Analyse The Question Paper & Pattern along with Syllabus.Give Special attention to words like Why , Explain, Discuss, Critically Analyse or Examine etc. ( I already Explained these Terms In My Earlier Posts)

And In Last Dedicated To All Puys who are Preparing for Civil services :

As I already mentioned in my earlier Post that there was no sectional cut offs so the Maximum Marks is 100 for the whole Question Paper. Total no of Question was 120, Max. Marks 100. I hope This Solves Your Query

@[331071:terminator87] I do not want to discourage you but I really want you to understand the fact that selecting optionals so late can cost you a year.

For Pali, refer following books:

History of Indian Literature (Vol. II) - Winternitz
  • Origin of Pali Literature (Vol. I & II) - B.C. Lal
  • Compendium of Abidhamma Philosophy - B. Jagdish Kashyap
  • Pali Essays - Hari Shanker Shukia
  • Pali Grammar - L.N. Tiwari

Pali has short syllabus and can be grasped easily. Just go through the Pali Essays for starters. If you find them interesting, then take the subject.
