Why do you want to purchase them? Download them from NCERT's website.
For history, you will have to ask seniors for photocopies of the old NCERT books. They are now not available on any site or shop.

What is this?

hi, i am in the 2nd year of my MBA(towards the close), i want to appear for UPSC-2013. Since i am absolutely new to this area, i wanted a plethora of information on what to study, how to study, where to start, how to proceed further, the breath of the course, a more-or-less sensible approach towards achieving the target.
can someone please help me with some institute or POC in mumbai where i can seek resolution to all these queries (or someone be that gracious to talk about it on phone 😃 ), as i am well aware that these queries would take a long post to reply, something that might not be possible here.
Thanks.

I have no idea about this book. By the cover of the book it seems that it has Q&As; only. Is that right? I do not think until and unless you have worked on your basics, you should try to move to Q&As.; I have no idea about SSC CGL. This book may work there, but I do not think this is going to help in UPSC CSE.

It may be worth it, but I still think that you should stick to the regular resources.

If you are not ready to appear in Mains and are not even aiming for it, then my suggestion would be do not waste your attempt. Target 2013.

P.S.:- I didn't want to reply to this post as I would have had to be blunt. I have tried to tone down. But if you feel that it is blunt and hurt you, then really sorry.

Ahh no sir definitely not...
Actually i am from reserved category...so no of attempts in not an issue here 😃
I know there are restricted number of attempts... 😃
Oh yes i am working very hard on basics...
and yes that book contain only Q&A...;
My Target is 2013 only...

Then it is great. But work hard and crack in your first attempt only.
But I am not sure about the book.
Guys any thought please:(
just give ur suggestion..

It is a nice combination. Just go through the previous years question papers and try to judge yourself that will you be comfortable with them or not.

You can go to market and buy these books from any school-books shop.

The site is Books4u.in - India's No1 Online Educational Books Store !. Never bought any book from there. You can try for sure.

Old books are not available in market or on net. You will have to get them from some seniors.
