For 2013, it is quite possible. For 2012, no idea.
BajiraoSingham sir!! :D

After spending so much time with UPSC, one thing which is predictable about UPSC is its unpredictability. So, better I will not predict. I will rather think (and my thinking can be wrong too) that UPSC will bring in a major change.

I have 1 query regarding the Eligibility criteria of
IES - ' Indian Economics Service'

According to the website UPSC- IES, it shows that , the criteria of Indian Economic Service is

'' Post Graduate Degree from a recognised university in Economics/Applied Economics/Business Economics/Econometrics ''

Will the candidate be allowed to write the IES, if he has done his
P.G. degree in Eco through Correspondence mode/Distance learning , not through full time ?

The Indian Audit & Account Service Audit the accounts of all Central & State government departments, P & T departments, defence, public sector organisations, railways etc.

It functions within the federal structure & coordinates effectively between the centre & the states.

As the head of the organisation the Comptroller & Auditor General(CAG) is a constitutional authority with a fixed tenure.

During the career, the officer can go on deputation to various ministries, state governments, autonomous bodies, public sector organisations etc.

They can also be posted at one of the two audit offices abroad- Washington or London.Presently India is one of the three countries auditing the accounts of the United Nations and a Director General of the service is based at New York for this purpose.

Officers selected to this service undergo training in Shimla . They serve either in account offices in Central or State Governments or in Statitory Audit Offices under the Comptroller and Auditor General (CAG).

In the Junior Scale they will be posted as an Assistant AG in the office of an Accountant General(AG).They will be posted in similar offices throughout the career; only their designation & responsibilities will keep changing.

In the senior scale they will Deputy AG in the JAG & Selection Grade a Senior DAG and in the Senior Administrative Grade a full fledged AG.At the next rung is the Additional Deputy Comptroller & Auditor General Of India who gets a Secretary's salary.

At the very top of accounts/audit hierarchy is a constitutional authority , The Comptroller & Auditor General Of India

Guys, please be very careful in filling ur name(as per class 10 certificate) and date of birth.Gen V K Singh, by mistake, filled his year of birth as 1950 instead of 1951 in his UPSC form and see what is happening now

Would be more than happy to answer any question reg registration.
