Guys i would be appearing for CSAT 2011 this year...
though almost no preparation still i wanna face the environment there ...in a civil services exam hall.. bracing up for the real fight later on maybe..
but would just wanna want to know.. even if there is almost no time for preparation for GS now.. what do u suggest that a candidate ( and am talking of a serious candidate ) should do and read to successfully crack GS.. that is my nemesis as of now.. so what do u think i should do to win over GS ? maybe i would get the results next time round.. but i wanna start early ... just give me anything any advice..any tips..any methods anything...and i will do it...

i'm assuming that u r asking regarding GS-Pre (& not MAINS)
1. read Newspaper thoroughly - make points which u think can be asked as Objective qstns...but don't overlook any news, which doesn't have any objective data, as nows-days......analytical understanding has become more important
2. read NCERTs...to mention few....
for Geo - read 8-10
for Eco - go thru 11
History - Old ncert by Bipin Chandra (i read this one)
Polity - refer ncerts....see as per the syllabus
(u can avoid any of the book from the above list - if u r referring the corresponding topic from a better source )
u can also buy some decent current affairs booklet, available in the market.......though now-days, UPSC qstns are not matching with the famous-materials available in the market
i believe, there is just ample-time to clear the pre if u have decent aptitude, but even otherwise..it's not impossible
