@libran4king @Akash14 Agree IE8 has glitches, I faced them too. I've been able to finish the registration on Firefox browser And I suggest you two to do the same.
Chrome, Opera may not work because UPSC is providing that 'security certificate' thing only for IE and Firefox.
its real funny....chrome din let me fil part-1 but just filled up part-2 through chrome(IE wasnt allowing part-2)...
Myself Mrunal Patel. Once upon a time, I cleared the UPSC prelim (2009) . but no interview call due to low marks in Mains :(
Anyways, after glancing through this thread, I saw many newcomers have routine questions, let me clarify them all.
Simple answer: NO, because UPSC is constantly changing the pattern to put coaching classes at disadvantage. Myself twice victim of this, because I've been preparing with the coaching-class factory mindset in General studies. More here Coaching classes & Postal Courses for Civil Se:Mrunal
Guys ! If u r capable of spending 15000 Rs then dont take a foolish step of saving it by not taking coaching or spending it on some postal material kind of stuff. Coaching will keep u in the race. Just find right coaching in ur place which can give u strong basics in general studies, If u want to follow on ur own it will eat most of ur time for some minor things. Just be there with fellow aspirants u will be in the game . If not u may win the game but it may take double the time for sure or u may end up an year after still following some blogs for even basic things. This exam is not meant for trial and error experiments if u are in it u have to spend ur time productively and have to take into account the mammoth fellow competetors and u will come through all it need when u r there where some activities are in progress regarding exam i.e coaching But be cautious of choosing rite one becoz these days this coaching became a big business, Who ever fail in all of their attempts try to establish an institute or atleast try to become faculty, As a whole be carefull and always attentive. ALL THE BEST guys.
And most importantly, IF applying online, DO IT only during office hours (11AM-5PM), as UPSC server is reported to have glitches during off-hours like 'non-receipt of confirmation email, session expired etc.'

I agree with you. preparing all by yourself does take a toll on u. you need constant guidance and push. but everyone cant avail regular coaching, distance being one of the major factors.
I do not have the option to attend coaching classes as I stay in Goa. I can only get corresponding course from any source.
kindly suggest a few coaching institutes...Rau's is the name for IAS of course. apart from that?

You have two options:- 1. You can take printout of SBI Pay-in Slips and go to any SBI bank and deposit the fees. Then proceed with Part II. 2. Keep trying. It takes sometime to get success but it is very annoying.

bro, u dont hav 3D secured password, do u? check this while the 1st password is asked.they want 3d secured. so try other options stated by Palak
Did you face the same issue while completing part2? Is it not because of ICICI VISA?
Yes, I couldn't complete the transaction using ICICI VISA so had to use my Citibank MasterCard. You can try the same. But whatever you try, please do it fast. It is not the time to analytically analyze what is wrong. Go and deposit the fees in SBI branch and complete your form.
