Permanent one is always better. Incase you live alone or with friends, don't give that. Give that address where your parents stay. You should receive correspondence for another one & half year, till you are called to Mussoorie for training. So, give the one that serves this purpose.

You have to pay the exam fee either online {i dont think you can get back to that if you've finished part 1} or by SBI challan. Pay the challan amount in some SBI branch and log in on the following day to complete part 2. I think UPSC designed the site in such a way that unless payment is done, part 2 doesn't open (not sure as I completed whole thing in a single session)

APPSC is very uncertain bro. Unlike all other states of India where people don't live & die for state PSC, APPSC has enormous following in the state & most of the times, their notifications are linked to state election dates. So, you can expect a notification in next 4 months. Earlier we thought group 1 would come out in march but as high court directed APPSC not to release results of 2011 group 1, there might be a delay.
Anyways APPSC sucks bro. All others divide posts based on category & that is justified by constitution but our great APPSC divides posts among different zones of the state, categories within that & finally 50% posts for girls. In 2012 asst conservator of forests exam, I stood 6th in the state but I didn't get a job. Out of 15 posts, 8 were reserved for girls & with all other permutations; the state 6th ranker is kicked out. That post was gazetted & has a good stature too. These guys are highly insensitive too. They scheduled group 1 mains just one week before civils mains. What sort of a stupid state PSC does that? I had no choice but to leave group 1 mains. I wasted a lot of time on it during the precious civils mains period & now no matter how much I get in interview, I won't get selected due to poor mains score. APPSC sucks & Allahabad bank sucks big-time (why leave out the main factor for my poor performance)
OK all my personal grudge aside, there will be some notifications soon. Group 1 interviews & last date for all current notifications will be over by this weekend. So, very soon you will hear some news. Actually, a calendar is supposed to come up in first week of april. Let's see how that turns out.

Bye guys going to delhi for interview. Interacting with some of you today did help in easing out the nervousness. Will be back in a week. Try completing atleast one of the 2 subjects we planned to study - polity/modern history. We can go to posting & answering probable questions shortly.
