If a b-school is moved to CAT 1 at a later date, say within the next year or so, would people who've been hired as CAT 2 candidates be retroactively upgraded to CAT 1 (designation and payscale) or would they be stuck in this rut forever??
I plan to take a sabbatical from TCS and j oin full-time MBA. There seems to be a base salary + work-ex-years salary (years * fixed amount) which represents the revised CTC when joining back. This base salary depends on the grade of the college from which I graduate. This is the information I have.
What I would like to know is the list of colleges under the various grades per TCS policy. Does anybody have this information ? Please share if you have idea on the base salary of some colleges ?

This is certainly off the topic, but need a little help. In a BIG dilemma.
Im a BE. 2013,CSE fresher. BE. score below 60%.
Want to have 1 or 2 years job experience before pursuing MBA in any of top 20 clgs.
But because of low BE score,little problem in getting a developer job but able to get "TECHNICAL SUPPORT" job offers.
Kindly advice me whether i should take up a "TECH SUPPORT" job ??
as my long term goal is to do MBA n anyhow i will have to leave IT sector completely later.
And will the job experience be counted and have AS MUCH VALUE ?

I am presently working in TCS as an ASE-T..After completing 2 years in TCS I plan to take sabbatical and pursue mba from Great Lakes Chennai. I have heard that Great Lakes Chennai is among category A colleges of TCS. Can anyone tell me what package can i expect when i return back to TCS with an MBA degree from Great Lakes Chennai??
