Within 7 months of my joining TCS, I have become a Business Analyst.. Though i was recruited for the post of ASE.. Though it is quite clear that I am in my learning stages as a BA and until now have not got into the complete role of BA.
My question with experienced puys over here is, " How helpful will this Work Ex be, since it is a bit
diff from the regular TCSers"
I am quite excited about this role & upcoming CAT. Please reply! Thanks 😃
Anyone from TCS SAP AG (Not SAP related project.. SAP as the client) project? Work location : SAP LABS bangalore.
Please let me know the learning scope for a network admin with this client / project? I would be happy if somebody can also comment on the onsite chances...

Hello Puys, Need your help. I am on sabbatical after a work ex. of 25Months. Being gone through the previous pages, my college comes under TIER-2 (although not as per pagalguy). I would like to know the designation and approx. CTC after joining back? Also what about the choice of projects allocated to MBA-Finance? Thanks in advance. Waiting for your review 😁
I have an overall IT experience of 3 years in a well know Indian MNC (service provider). In my current organization, I am working as a "Senior Systems Engineer".
Recently I got an offer from TCS (location:Kolkata - its my hometown) and the package I got after certain negotiation is 5.9 (31% hike on top of my current salary). The designation they assigned is "Systems Engineer" (which is a demotion when compared to my designation in present organization). The HR denied to give me the "ITA" designation since it needs an overall experience of >=4 years.
Kindly clarify the below queries:
1) Does the "ITA" designation really needs minimum 4 years of experience at TCS?
2) Heard that in TCS often salary get reduced based on the rating. Being a lateral, will I be victimized? Even if the salary gets reduced (worst case) then usually by how much will it get reduced? I am worried on this thing since in my present organization, I have never seen salary getting reduced.
3) If I join as a Systems Engineer, when can I expect to be an "ITA"? What I can figure out is after another 2 years (1st year I am ignoring because of some "lateral treatment"). In such a case, becoming an "ITA" in 5 years - does it worth?
Could anyone give me ideas on how to get good projects in TCS.Currently on bench for a month.RMG told no projects available. How to find if projects r available other than from my RMG and whether it requires freshers? How to find out what type of project it is?Clueless..Plz Would appreciate anyone who could give me a tip on what to do..Thanks in advance..😃

1) NO. If one gets A band (Highest performance band) twice continuolusly ,for 3 yrs only he/she will bcome ITA.But generally it needs 4 yrs of exp for all others.
2)For D & E band sal will be reduced. It completely depends on ur project manger.Cant predict now only.Reduction amt depends on the employee grade and band cahnge A to D/B to D/C to D.
3)Imediatly after 4 yrs u l b eligible for promotion to ITA.Ur manager has to initiate it.Sal increment after bcoming ITA depends on ur Anniversary performance rating /Band which ever is applicable at the time of ur promotion.
I see that my variable component comes to 30% of my total CTC in my TCS offer.. 2.88 L including Monthly performance pay and quarterly pay..
Is this offer fine? I find my current total CTC equal to the fixed part of TCS.. How much percentage (at the minimum / worst case) will I receive in hand from
Hi all, I have a doubt. I was in a medical leave from may to dec 2013.My bond period is over on sep 2013. Now, I want to resign on Jan 2014.will dat be reflected in my exp certificate??? If i ll have to give bond money after resignation??
I have 4 years of work exp in TCS and I was in the role of Tech Lead till now..I am getting unallocated by Jan 30th 2014.I have an admit letter from GLIM for its PGPM and it commences in April 2014.Now that I get unallocated by Feb1st, should i be looking for short term projects in TCS that would last till March 31st or be in Bench? Will this bench period of 2 months be present in the relieving letter?I am planning to send my resignation letter in the first week of March ..
I have been granted admission in Great Lakes Institute Of Management, Chennai for their 1 year PGPM course. I have 29 months experience in TCS. I have the following queries:
1) what is the eligibility for a sabbatical? Do they give a sabbatical to ppl with two D bands? ( I have one D from previous year when I was on bench, and would be getting another D this time, for sure 😛 )
2) does the compensation that they offer (on joining them back after the course completes) depend upon your previous bands?
Thanks!
P.S.: A fellow TCSer who is from GLIM or is going to join it this year can be of great help.
