1.What is the estimated time of notice period for ppl who r in bench???// I know its officially 1month.But I heard that it takes less time for NOT so critical resources????
2.Last yr I got D band & rating 3,package 3.43L. This yr I got 2.5 rating but C band. What will be my salary any idea anybody???????

Hi all, i completed my 2 years in TCS..In my first year H2 i got 'A' band...But in my 2nd year i got 'C' band, eventhough i got rating above 4..due to project change...my que is whether it may lead to salary decrement or not...if it is decremented then how much i can expect....😠
Is there any chance that TCS would recruit or induct an MBA (Finance + HR) professional with NON IT background(B.Com) - 2 yrs exp. ??
If yes, please help, as i saw BYB Schema i did not find any specific role.

Need a suggestion ... gave least importance to my current work in project .. conclusion : D band with 3.56 rating. 😞 . cuurently ASE with 19 months ex. I have planned cat 2014 as my last attempt .. Now if i take a release ..that promotion from ase to se aftre 2 ,due this spetembr..will that be affected ?
I plan to take up mba in systems ... my D band would affect systems-mba naa ? 😞 😞 :(

It will be great if someone could share his/her experience of joining TCS after sabbatical period. Please cover the points such as 1) What is the process of role-allocation and role-tagging? 2) How is the work-experience after MBA? 3) Do we get a chance to negotiate package with HR, etc. 4) I know it is subjective to requirements and location, but still, on an average how many days does it take to get a new role?

This designation will be given to MBA grads of Tier 2 colleges.If joined as a MBA fresher they will be given ASA-Trainee designation with pakage ranging between 4.75 - 5.25 depending on the college among tier 2 colleges.After one year they will become ASA.Salry will be increased after confirmation based on rating after one year.There after salary will be incrased based on H2 band.May be ranging from 6 - 8 for ASA based on years of exp.But not sure.
@dvchinmaya Can you tell me the designation/package offered to graduates from tier-1 colleges with work ex ? and also the list of colleges recognized as tier-1 by TCS?
Hi All,I have 3 more months to complete 2yrs in TCS. I wish to pursue Ph.D / Mtech. Does anyone know if TCS sponsors Ph.D / Mtech ? Heard about tie ups with some universities, but nothing in specific. Also, I wld like to be detailed on LWP. If one applies for LWP for 2yrs, is he/she bound to return to TCS ? for, e.g., if I apply for LWP 4 2yrs, am I bound to return to service after the tenure? Pls advise.. thanks in adv..

TCS usually does not sponsor full time courses. You have to go with the LWP option. Check with your TM HR and confirm 😃

I have 3 yrs 4 months exp in TCS..consistent B bands..recently i hv joined this weekend ex-mba course..PGDBM course at NMIMS University Hyderabad taking TCS sponsorship of 2.5 lakhs n rest I have paid..I am due for ITA promotion in the next 6-8 months..my package as of nw is 5.4 lakhs

a) After course completion and re-fitment will I have to serve the same account only or I can work for a different account ?

I am willing to switch and expecting a positive response from TCS.
According to your experience, is TCS good for laterals?
Although, I see most of you planning/doing MBA (as the queries suggest) after 2-3 years of experience in TCS to jump to a new role.
Also, are profiles for SAP in TCS offered different pay-scales (because it is more towards consultant's job)?
How much can/should I expect/demand?
Please suggest if it would be a good decision or not?

Guys.....My H1B visa has been filed.....and now I want to avail the LWP policy of TCS....Can the supervisor reject the approval on this reason as Company has spent money in filing the Visa.....
I have gone through the LWP policy on the ultimatix portal ....and as per that....the supervisor should only see that my current assignments are complete or not..... which are all complete from my end....
So can this Visa thing be an issue while getting the LWP approved??

After 1st year of MBA , i will have to go 4 internships. Will my LWP status create any problem for that? Do we have to take permission from TCS to do internship in other company? Will TCS allow me to go 4 internship in some other company?

I am almost 2.5 years work-ex in TCS. I have got a call from MDI and classes begins from 16th June. I want to go for LWP, whom should I contact for this (HR/Supervisor). I still have about 30 earned leaves left, so should I exhaust them before going for LWP. In that case, since I am in a project from which they will not release me before atleast one months, how should I plan. Though people are allowed on sabbatical in MDI, can I resign before summer internship if I see any problem. Also, what are the benefits and limitations of going on LWP in TCS (beside just a backup).
