@Preeti_L considering i have 5-8 months in hand before the joining date, what can i do in the meantime. i dont want to waste those 8 months sitting at home, want to take up some temporary work to get some work experience. Internship or a job will be preferred??

Try your hands at E-Litmus. If you score well, you might get hired in some really good companies. Or, you may try off-campus recruitments as well.

In case you are a CAT Aspirant, utilise this time effectively for your preparations.. It would definitely help because managing preps and office work is tedious once you join the corporate world.. ATB !

hello frnz ,

Currently working in CSC Noida and want to work for TCS in future . I m having more then 2.8+ years of experience and my IT specialization is in Mainframes. I am having an offer from DELL {55% hike} . I am planning to work in Dell for at least 1 year so that i could make my experience more then 4+yrs.

Since most of the openings in good firms are for more then 4-5 years of experience . Could you tell me if i join TCS after 4+ yr experience then what would be the hike and designation i 'll be expecting ?? and what if i try for TCS with my current experience??

What about the onsite opportunities in TCS ??

@vrana95 For ur current exp,designation will be Systems Engineer and sal ll b b/w 5 & 6.For 4 yrs exp,design:IT Analyst and sal b/w 6 & 7.Onsite opp r there.But depends on the project u ll get.But u can ask at the time of interview and also negotiate the salary range also.

Hi Puys,

M currently working in Banking support project since 30 months in TCS, had joined as a fresher,
Gave CAT this time with little prep as the work env isnt much gud and also work pressure is a lot, i sumhow managed to get 86%ile. I will not get release from this project any soon, so probably wont have any beter chance for prep agn. With my job profile switching is also difficult as it is mainly support project and i dont wanna continue in it.
Now I have gt the call from TAPMI.
My current CTC is 4.5 lpa.Designation SE. i had B band last year. this year may get a C band.
Can you please advice whether I should take admission in TAPMI? will it be a gud option considering my current salary and situation.
Also does any1 have an idea as to what will be the salary offered in TCS if i take a sabbatical and go for my MBA from TAPMI?

I am not as experienced as you are, but I would suggest you not to join this year and give it a shot next year.
@Nikky3588 TAPMI is good college.But u can try one more time and try to get good %ile.And also TAPMI fee is around 10L.You have to think about ROI too.As its Tier 2 college according to TCS,takin LWP is of not much use.But job will be secured.U may get salary b/w 6 & 7 if u come back to TCS after LWP.But not sure of the salary.It depends on ur previous experince,bands u hv got and ur supervisor feedback.You can negotiate the salary during refitment.If its inevitable to join MBA in TAPMI this yr only,u can avail LWP.If u get good offer on campus ,anyways u can resign from TCS anytime.

Any idea about Great Lakes IEMR, Gurgaon belonging to which Tier? Got selected for the 1yr PGPM. I know that Great Lakes CHN in a Tier 1 Colg, but no idea about the Gurgaon campus... Both the campuses had common GD/PI...

@Phoenix2687 its tier 2
