TCS Recruitment : Jobs, Salary, Interview Questions

anyone any idea whether SIBM P or SCMHRD is a Tier-1 college??

@PsychicDevil I would not be able to categorize the above mentioned Institutes as Tier 1 or 2 or 3 ....because I do not believe in rankings , I believe in what an MBA student puts in when doing an MBA and at the end of the day that is more important ........Both Institutes are good and I know people from these Institutes who are doing very well in Corporate .....
@sona1612 5.5 to 6
@invban
dude I agree with you..rating doesnt matter..
but U got me wrong..
TCS divides each BSchool into different Tiers..and according to that fixes the payscale..
since am with TCS for abt 2.5yrs so was seeking the view of fellow PUYS whether it will be good to opt LWP if I get admission in the aforesaid colleges.
I have my childhood buddies studying in these 2 college.
hope U get the reason for my query..
cheers !!!
@PsychicDevil Got yr point ....... best of luck!

As for as I know both are Tier 2 according to TCS.Please confirm with HR.
@dvchinmaya
then no point of taking LWP
:(
neway,thanx
@invban
thanx

@PsychicDevil Yeah!! But better confirm with HR especially for SIBM-P.Usually HRs will advise to take LWP instead of resigning for higher studies.They will surely help you out.

hi
i submitted my resume in tcs, in which i wrongly enterd my highschool and intermediate year as 2006 and 2008 while it should be 2007 and 2009.. though I have shown it correctly in tcs aaplication form..i am selected in tcs through its campus drive..
I want to know will it troule me when i join tcs??
Do they use your resume at the time of documentation??
During the documentation will they gonna reject me??

@codermohit No issues..u'll get a mail before ua joining to change ua details,if u want.so don't worry..
@codermohit If you have any confusions at any point of time u can ask http://www.facebook.com/basith.s.abdul?fref=ts ...He has the solution to every problem when it cums to TCS..

Is taking the name of the client and explaining about the nature of work you are doing the violation of NDA?

I got d band becos of bench and after that i dint get any h1 as i was on bench now my h2 is initiated and might project might release me with d band and a bad rating.as per tcs policy at this time people who get two d bands consecutively their current h1/h2/pe and previous h1/h2/pe are compared.My previous rating h1/h2/pe ws nothing as in ultimatix it is nothing and now i might get d band and bad rating is there any threat pls help

@codermohit : Dont worry , it will not be an issue. The resume is not used that much. The details that we enter online for registration and stuff are more important.
@ankitrocks I dont think so . If that was the case , then everybody putting their details in linkedin will be held for violating the NDA. The idea is not to reveal any details that might affect ur client's or TCS' interest.

Telling what kind of work u do or the client's name is fine
@kemas They will initiate PIP Performance Improvement Program

@Tutuk : Not sure about CTS . But in TCS , there has been no revision for freshers. The joining package is 3.16 LPA still. And there ll be a hike after 1 year to make it 3.4 - 3.6 . And after 2 yrs of experience , hike to make it 3.9 - 4.8 depending on the rating .
