So, there wont be a chance I presume?!
@dvchinmaya
In BYB scheme,they have clearly mentioned only 3+ yrs candidiates we have to refer.But if u know any of ur previous project lead r manger in TCS,u can contact them.If they have any requirements for the particular skill set,they may take u by takin interviews .

Ok, thanks so much for the confirmation. Will look into that.

Hi puys ..
I have been recently put into a project but I am not getting the allocation . The allocation may have to wait for over an year . What will be the implications ???
I talked to my supervisors in the company ...They told me it will be taken care of .
Implications??

@kaushikranjan Hi..Usually they will use freshers as shadow resources and non-billbale.Allocation really takes time.

@dvchinmaya As someone who recently joined project what are the takeaways apart from the learnings. Are the ratings given half yearly or after 1 year...
@kaushikranjan After one year of joining Final Anniversary Appraisal will be done.Afterwards H1(Half yearly 1,first of the financial yr) and H2 will be ther.
@vrana95

complete 36 months sir, i will refer you! :-)

What kind of Salary can i expect in TCS after 4 years in a tech role??

@Rockyan Around 6 LPA
@boombaat Hey , I have given couple of interviews including DELL , HCL ,IBM .
I have offer letter from DELL and HCL . They are giving me hike 55% hike .
I loved the CSC culture and everything is so good here . But i have finally resigned from CSC and have joining on 25 MARCH in DELL .

Therefore trying for TCS , as some of my colleagues have told me that it is nice company and lot of onsite oppurtunites .

I have 2 doubts :-
1) What is the expected hike in tcs ?
2) how to deal with salary negotiation {doing first time }
@vrana95

No doubt, TCS is one of the biggest and best companies when it comes to IT domain. About the too many many onsite opportunities being there, is a true fact. All of it, including the salary hike will come with experience. The more the experience, the better it gets. So if you have 3+ years of experience, then TCS is a must try :-)
@boombaat
Hi guyz..
m in my 4th yr of b tech (mechanical branch) and got placed in TCS. As i dont have any intrest in mechanical, i found computer software,programming intrested and want to build my career in IT world. i want to pursue master degree too as only bachelor wont let my career go to much height. for master i prefer doing MBA. but i am really confuse to give CAT or GMAT? do MBA without work exp or after working in TCS for 2 yr?? its my peak time to select certain path which would set my career.
PLZ suggested smthing guyz,i really want to sort out things better..
as recently i read about MBA in IT and in SYSTEM.plz explore this option also for me for doing MBA in certain fields as i ave very low knowledge about various options in MBA which have good future in it..
Thanks for ur support(in advance)
Shel

@dvchinmaya

Any idea about the package offered to Assistant System Analysts in TCS??

I have heard that sometimes the package is revised and increased at the time of joining... is it true?? I am from 2013 batch and have been placed in TCS as Asst Systems Engineer..

Also is it possible to change ur field from software to management or business roles like that of consultant or analyst?
Seniors please advice..

Thanks :)

Yes.It's true as the sane has happened in the past.

It all depends on which project you get.TCS has loads of support and maintenenance projects.For most of these projects,TCS associates play role as functional consultant/analyst.But it doesn't happen in all cases and also IT industry still recognise this experience as 'IT' experience with some exposure to domain knowledge.

But if you join TCS after completion of MBA,your role would be Business development manger,which is mangerial role.if you dont have masters degree,you certainly have to wait for somke years to get into 'official' managerial role.

Hope this helps.

Thanks for the quick reply :)
Can you tell me on what parameters is the increase based?
Does it depend on the college name, performance in ILP or something else?
Also my current package is 3.15.. how much increase can be expected?

@paridhi11890

I think,you got me wrong.If there is any increment,it would be for all new joinees.There won't be any discrimination on the basis of college or branch of engineering.And I assume that increment is part of rationalisation process.
