Hi..I have read the whole document available on knowmax and could'nt find anything which relates LWP for further studies to a C band.Please throw some light on the source of this information.
@1manArmy Yes!! This document does not have this information.But as the supervisor,manager,GL,IOU Head have to approve LWP,they will take the performance of the associate into consideration before approving.Otherwise they can decline the LWP request.

So lets say the preformance has been good ( as in but not extra ordinary kind)...but band C and only 2.5 yrs experience can be a hurdle to get LWP? I thought TCS really followed in the principle of retaining its employees.
You aware of cases where LWP is rejected at project level for band C and less experience?

No..not a problem.....If u get C and above that is good!! If D they wont approve...!!
@megha6788 If they give D as you have asked release from the project as u mentioned earlier, then they wont approve for LWP mostly!!!!!

Ohkk, I did'nt ask for the release btw.
I shall be availing LWP from march 1, meaning all approvals done by then, won't be released from project before feb end.. and the ratings shall be released in around Apr.
So in that case band (this year's) shall not come into picture..coz that shall be allotted aftr the process of approvals and all is done.

@megha6788 Yes!! Band of 2013 wont come into picture if its approved before only.Have you already informed them that you will be applyin LWP ?

when took study leave my designation was ITA and package was 7+

The HR usually consider the average package of the college. In case of Nirma its 8. U can negotiate with HR while joining back as u have relevant experience.

You ll be temporarily mapped to a project where your appraisal will happen.. They ll release u after that..

You desig will be AST mostly.TCS considers the grade of the college while offering package.Nirma is Tier 2 college according to TCS.As other puy mentioned,u can negotiate while refitment if u join back to TCS.

One of my friends whom I have referred in TCS has got the offer letter. The problem is that he completed the engineering after 2 years of his original time i.e he completed the course by 6th year. he is been given the offer in TCS and now it is been dragged telling that they need to get approvals from the higher mgmt team and it is getting almost delayed for a month now.
His recruiter is conveying him that it is still in progress and his offer has been extended for another 1 month.
Just want to know will he be getting into TCS or not. coz I have to tell him clearly so that he can look out for another organisation rather than waiting for approvals to get inside the TCS campus. Please help.
@Archer13 Better you tell him to search outside bcz TCS follows strict rules in recruitement.No offence in searching outside rite.

I had one basic question regarding sabbatical..
Is there a bond something in TCS wrt sabbatical..
Is it necessary that I shall return to TCS? I did'nt find anythinglike that in documents here..but someone in TCS said me that there is some kind of bond! Is that true.
Please help!
