@sanjaysuthar If U are aware of Indian S/W companies then am sure U must consider TCS as a big brand name. and who told U that U will be in bench or a long time?? am in mumbai and our whole batch of 360 got project in the first day itself..so dude, just chillax.. neway, IMO it will be good if U join IBM.. best of luck
Guys, Iam new to this forum. I went through lot of posts. I think iam very near to get the answers I wa thinking off .. So if someone could help me on this it would be really great.. My total experience is around 7 yrs which includes BPO(2.1 yrs) and ITIS of 4.8yrs I have got an offer with TCS as ITA designation. (Iam into Infrastructure services and not into software). My Domain is storage and Backup with an experience of 4.5years. I would be joining TCS by Dec 2012. Here are my questions
1. I would like to know the Role of ITA inthe ITIS environment if it is a lead role/team member etc .. coz in HCL developement and ITIS designations differ a lot
2. Since Iam into ITIS, would like to know about the onsite oppourtunities ..

ITA is a designation..it doesnt have any relation with the role..an ITA may be a Team member/Team Lead depending upon the project.. 2.Boss, onsite option is too less in ITIS.. 3.I cannot disclose the amount...but yes U will get allowances for night shift which includes shift pay and conveyance..
me too in tcs having same problem.getting smb as project.I can understand your problem.Now regarding your preparation i would advice you to just avoid the SMB(do not attend their calls ) and concentrate on your preparation.In case you get any other project call(other than SMB) just attend the interview.Now if you get any project its good for U and in case you don't get its best for U because you can continue your preparation and do not worry about smb kind of thing.
me too was mapped in smb.i attended its training for 3 days, then i realized that its absurd and really humiliating kind of thing then i did't gave any respond to them.
about leaving tcs my advice is that its not right to leave it by now because you don't have any other alternative of it.instead of leaving tcs try to ignore it(i mean don't give any response as just switched off ur mobile or change ur sim any thing) till the exam and after giving your exam you will also be sure about your level of preparation and how much you are going to score ...
@pintuuu hi buddy for that u need to 1) Inform 1 month prior to the time of applying 2) Finish off ur existing leaves (casual, medical and earned.)
Go to gess and there is a pdf for LWP. incase u are pursuing further studies u can also apply for sabbatical. ur job is secure but u wont be getting salary during the study period

Hii every one .. In jan i am going to complete 2 years of exp in TCS . Am so worried about my Salary package.. Bcoz last year i got D band 😞 . yes it can provide.....but in this early stage it will not sound good to ask for a certificate better to use your first and last payslip it will work as a certificate...in most cases
