I am working in Tcs for the past two years. I m getting released from my existing project and i would like to move as Analyst in Supply chain or logistics.. I was working as a mainframe resource for an insurance client and for SUpply chain management group for a retail domain . Can i get a Business analyst oppurtunity ? Will it be possible to switch over to Business from Technical. Pls reply soon!!! Thnks in Advance!!!
I am trained in Business Intelligence stream in my ILP, Now i am in travel , transport and hospitality domain.
It seems not much projects are available for BI in this domain and its all java, having learnt java for first 30 days of my training there ask me to take even if it is java.
But i am interested in Business Intelligence and dont want to take java.
Whats the scope of BI ?
Should i take java ?
Will saying no to java project inteview affect me anyway ?

seniors from TCS please help...m a 2011 b.tech(CS) passout..but got my joining in march 2012..as u've "been there, done that", do u think a PSU bank offering PO job is better than working in here..consider it also from MBA point of view...Cos I've got some review from my seniors that they wud chuck their TCS job to work in a PSU bank..
P.S. I got tws 175 in IBPS which I gave during this free time and have some interviews lined up, both for PO and IT officer post.

Bro......dont even give a second thought about it.....its worth it any day to chuck TCS for a PSU Bank job......and dat too considering the fact that dey remembered to call you so "early".......go ahead and take the PSU job if you get thru the interviews......ATB!!....

Bank PO especially if you are planning to move to the Financial domain.......in TCS it all depends on your luck and the "param-pujya" RMG as to what you get......so my advice would be not to take such chances which are highly biased against you(point in case TCS) and instead go ahead with the Bank PO job.

Yes,I also agree on this point..am with TCS fr past 20 months..gave MBA exams and gt call from some good MBA colleges(IIFT,NM,MDI,...)..also gave IBPS and scored 174(gen)..
I will certainly move to bank PO job if I dont get my college..TCS as a company is good but many factors are there to demotivate u from growing and thats why the whole process become luck based...I want to join TCS again but at a very high level where this luck factor diminishes to an extent..
The disadvantage with Bank PO jobs which i found is the place of posting...thats why i didnt join it earlier when I was selected for bank of India..but I think I will give it a chance this time..but i hope i convert my dream college this time....puys,pray fr me

A job in bank will also boost up your profile as most of the ppl applying to CAT have IT experience only...But with ur experience in TCS as well as a bank, u will surely score over many ppl in terms of profile...

thanx...but i have my resrvtn for TCS ILP in gandhinagar on 23 march..And I don't know how many interviews i'll be able to give before that cos the whole process of IBPS is so slow..have my UBI interview on 18 feb..i applied for syndi and BOI too..but no info bou there PI..Applied to PNB also, but they have mentioned that PI will take place in april/may..at that time probably i'll be in gandhinagar with TCS...Too many things goin on...

go and join TCS...but then it will be risky if ur interview falls during ur ILP...During ILP, you are entitled for a leave of only three days, after which ur training will be dis- continued and u will have to join again in a new batch...so u will have to take a call considering all these things...

Have calls from SCMHRD and NMIMS......done with SCMHRD GD/PI.....results expected around 25th......NM GD/PI is on 6th March......
