I am resigning from TCS. Is anyone aware of the experience certificate format of TCS?
-What are the details mentioned in it?
-Is the individual project details - duration & technology mentioned in the certificate?

1. Joining Date 2. Leaving date 3. Compensation 4. Designation are mentioned.

and not things like technology, client name , ur boss' name , ur relationship wid him are mentioned. This applies to all organizations and not only to TCS.

No IT company pays even any attention on distance learning MBAs so leave aside the hike.

ya....you don't get any hike after doing distance education......but it may indirectly help you in getting a managerial role.

Good pay milegi ya bad pay??? Its obvious that a manager will get a better pay compared to engineer. Thats y ppl do MBA.

Again its obvious that regular MBA is wat is asked everywhere.
TCS/Infy/CTS do not recognize/derecognize Distance MBA but they wont consider it for hike n all( u can read it " derecognize " ). Reason - they rekroot regular MBAs.

I suggest u work in TCS...keep preparing for CAT...if u get a top 20 clg...go for Regular MBA...if u dont then continue in TCS.

Instead of distance learning...go onsite and add value to ur profile/personality/career in every possible manner.

For 3-4 years experience my ballpark estimate would be

Salary: 4.5-6 lpa
Designation: SE

Promotions are based on relative performance which is measured semi-annually

No, there is no minimum work ex as such. Whenever the project feels you should go , you would get a chance. You can market yourself though if you feel you have stayed long enough to deserve a chance.

AFA Java projects are concerned, Java has mostly applications in BFS Domain.
So commenting on a technology is tough ask but BFS is quite strong in Chennai. The word that stays is that Chennai is a very fertile location for bagging onsite. Disclaimer: There are exceptions. I know one such fellow personally.

Any policies are there in tcs that a person has to serve minimum period of certain years for the promotion. As i have got the designation as SE.How you guys rate for tcs? Shall i join it?

Any idea what is TCS offering to employees joining back after MBA.

I have 2.5 yrs of work-ex with TCS and MBA from SIBM, Bangalore...On sabbatical and I am planning to join back..If anyone has any idea about the package offered this would help me in taking a decision for the kind of companies I need to look for during my campus placements.

1.my cousin got selected in Accenture,TCS via campus...what he should opt??
2.he is gonna join any of those as a stop & gap arrangement only..so if he leaves company in bond period & if he dont want expirience certificate,then can he quit safely without paying bond?
3.Does TCS recruits expirienced officers working in banks as most of projcts r of banking

2. He can quit without paying bon. That is what I know in TCS. Not sure about Accenture
3. Depends on what they are looking for. TCS needs people who can run IT for banks and not banks as a whole. Depends on the match.

Hey All,

I have joined TCS in September 2010 with a package of 3.16. In september 2011 i got confirmed and got a salary hike of 25k/year. So currently my package is 3.42 after working for 1 yr and 4 months.In this march as a H2 i am expecting some hike again.
I want to know that when i will complete 2 yrs in september 2012 , then will i get a salry hike .if yes then how much if i willbe in a B/C band.

Can anybody tell me what will be my salary in april 2013(after march 2013 hike) after getting all hike(suppose i get B or C band)??
