Seeing lot many queiries pertaining compensation post-sabatical, effectively all of them, I have tried to put together some details on this process.
The refitment process, as it is called for the restructing of the compensation and employee's grade, is unfortunately not much transparent. Not does HR bother to divulge much information on it.
But what I have understood from my own personal expereince and seeing four to five of my friends and acquaintances, the refitment process is basically decided on the following factors -
1. CTC at the time of going for sabbatical - the percentage hike is given on this figure only, and thus, this determines the actual amount of hike
2. You last appraisal band before the sabbatical - this determines percentage hike that is to be given
3. Category your college lies in - this also is considered to determine the percentage hike that is to be given
See, HRs do say that they have multiple considertaions such as - academic perfromance during MBA, Business Need, Skiils and proficieny of the associate, but I believe counting all these factors is not easy as lot of subjectivity is there in their assessment.
I hope this helps in your decision to contnue/relenquish the sabbatical!
Refittment sucks.... after LWP you may or may not get refitment. here in my case, they are not ready to give me refitment, though they give me project. so its a loss to me.
Hi i am currently working at a position of IT Analyst at 7 years of exp. Joined PGDIB (INTERNATIONAL BUSINESS) from symbiosis distance learning. How much growth should I expect on completion of PGDIB. If iI plan to stay with TCS or otherwise??
I am currently on my sabbatical and am pursuing my MBA. I wish to take up a career in a different industry, and hence cleared a company through campus placements.
I wish to know the following:
1. Will the relieving/experience letter showcase my last earned leave date as the last working day or consider the day of application of resignation as last working day. Which of these dates will be mentioned in the relieving and experience certificates? or both?
2. I have not intimated to the new company about my sabbatical, neither they have enquired about it during the process - So will the date of issuance present in the relieving letter/experience letter reveal these details and cause any trouble when joining this new company?
3. Will the relieving/experience letter contain details of my LWP?
Kindly provide your answers in detail, referring to the above question numbers specifically. Thanks in advance!
