What happened to the PGDM waiting list? Did someone get selected yesterday? According to some people, it was supposed to be updated yesterday.

2 weeks back wen i had called up sudeep sir he told me dat my waitlist no. is around 70....n dat i hav a bright chance of making it to PGDM..
n yesterday wen i had called him again he told dat it difficult fr me to gt thru PGDM as im in d next 200 now..
i dnt understand y is dr such a huge diffrenece...wen i told him dat he had earlier said it was around 70 he dint say anything except dat im in d next 200...

yeah true...they are not making their decision process transparent. last week i had called up sudip sir and requested hard to let me know whether my name figures in the first merit list of the sectoral courses or not. i needed to know this i had said because i am supposed to give a 45 days notice period to my organisation before i leave them. after sometime of pestering, he did respond to my request and told me clearly that i am there in the first merit list. in my previous post i did not write about this, i just mentioned that he hinted towards my being there in the first merit list so that students do not pester him unnecessarily. and yesterday when i called him up, do you all know what he said...he said i am really sorry...you still have a chance, afterall since multiple calls have been given to students, they will pick only one option.
so now TAPMI has been giving false information to students. but seriously this is very unfair to us.

yes it is..the aicte approval for the next 60 seats is yet to come.

YES. All the call given for PGDM course till now is for the 120 seats whcih are AICTE approved.

All those who are looking ahead to join TAPMI and already paid the fees and seniors ofcourse. I have a few questions for u guys:
1.What all payments do we need to make when we reach there?? for eg. mess charges n tht too for how many months, security charges etc. So that we have a fair idea how much money shall we be carrying when we reach there.
2. What sort of necessary things do we need to purchase/arrange as soon as we reach the campus and check in our rooms ??
2. Will we be provided rooms on 30th itself ?? I most probably will be reaching on 30th morning (bangalore-manipal overnite journey by bus)
And lastly, congrats to all those who converted their calls recently and got seats in IB & BFS and all the best to those who are waiting for this wait list to move..

1. As far as security deposit and other payments go, if you look at your fee schedule, they would be featured in it. As for payments, I do not remember any payment that we had to directly make to the college on joining. Mess charges come up at the end of the month, not when you begin. So that aside, there is no single major expense when you join. You might spend about 1000/- on hostel living stuff and another 500/- on a phone connection. I spent about 3000/- in my first week at TAPMI which included some partying too.
2. As for what you need to stock up... We guys had to buy buckets, mugs, hangers, water bottle, if you are planning on washing your clothes then the necessary paraphernalia for that, and all the other blah that you need in the hostel. The one thing I would strongly advise you to get along with you is a Scientific Calculator. While a lot of our work is done on the laptops, we have to keep a calculator handy for most parts. Also carry some old newspaper (this is something you would already know if you have stayed in a hostel before). The good part is that you can buy all these things either on campus or at Manipal Tiger Circle.
3. As for accomodation on 30th, check with the authorities. 😃
yes they should provide accommodation on 30th itself because they have asked us to come by 30th evening..and attend the induction program starting the next morning at 9 am..
yes, there had been a movement of wait list... for about 10-15 seats...congrats Rashmi :-)
and about the remaining 60 seats still remains a mystery...hope some info comes out before 10th of june. i have converted KJ Somaiya - PGDM and supposed to join on 14th of june. am so desperate to join TAPMI. have pull out from KJ by 11th else will be losing out a hefty amount (1st year fees).

I am currently working out of Mangalore and have my bike here with me. In one of the previous posts I read that bikes being not allowed in campus is a temporary thing and you will request the management to allow it for our batch.
Wanted to know about the chances of management agreeing to your request. If it's a temp thing then i can keep my bike at a friend's house but if its a permanent thing then i need to parcel the bike back to my native place.
I know you can't give a sure shot answer right now but just want to know your opinion and also whether 2 wheelers are allowed for your batch?

IMO, Keep the bike at your friend's house for now. Once the rains stop, the management would definitely review their policy with regard to bikes. The same was the case with our batch too. BTW, what bike?

For our batch, cars were allowed from day 1. I really do not know what the scene would be for you guys though.
