Hi Puys,
Can anyone tell me how far is KSRTC bus stand from Mangalore Airport and how to reach the bus stand.
Just spoke to Sudeep Sir..He said we can expect the waitlist to move by 10 places today evening. And ppl who have converted sectoral programs also have fair chance of converting in PGDM-G. He said my waitlist no is within 50 so I have a fair chance of converting when the list of next 60 comes out which will be tentatively around 15June. Till then it's again waiting and hoping....
Hi Puys,
Can anyone tell me how far is KSRTC bus stand from Mangalore Airport and how to reach the bus stand.
The Bajpe airport isn't really at Mangalore, so to say. It is actually a better idea to take a cab from the airport to Manipal, which would cost you around 800-900 bucks or lesser (depending on your haggling capabilities).
If you are not carrying too much of luggage, there is a more complicated way to reach Manipal. At the airport, take an auto to Bajpe village. At Bajpe, ask for buses to Mulki. At Mulki, cross the highway and wait for a Mangalore-Manipal bus.
If you still however, wish to take a KSRTC bus from Mangalore, you would have to take an auto at the airport and tell the driver to take you to Mangalore bus stand. IMO, it should cost around 150 bucks.

as far as i get it, the allocation of seats is as follows
PGDM - first list - 120 seats
PGDM - 1st waitlist - 38 seats
sectoral courses: BFS - 60 seats
IB - 60 seats
HCM - 60 seats
PGDM - 2nd waitlist(expected) - 10 seats
its makes 348 seats in total and a clearance of 228 waitlisted candidates....
P.S. Puys plz correct me if I'm wrong.

There are candidates who got multiple converts in BFS, IB, HCM.
It's correct...But the golden question is:
Whether the Wait List number that's been given to us is our rank in the list or a number given AFTER the seats have been offered to the selected PGDM/BFS/IB/HCM candidates.
Till then all theories are plain speculation!

yes there are and i would say that there is no count for that, that we can consider it in this counting..... can just approximate it though

Few questions :
1) can we report at the college on 28th June.I mean will they allow us to check in the hostel.
2)will college make any arrangement for accommodation of our parents escorting us?

I don't know about the 1st question..
The college may give accommodation for parents.. but since there will be a huge no. of parents coming to escort the students, we cannot be sure of that.. Call up Tapmi officials.. seniors had told us that if they allow accommodation for parents, then you'll need to book it beforehand..

Hey puys n purls,
All those who are looking ahead to join TAPMI and already paid the fees and seniors ofcourse. I have a few questions for u guys:
1.What all payments do we need to make when we reach there?? for eg. mess charges n tht too for how many months, security charges etc. So that we have a fair idea how much money shall we be carrying when we reach there.
2. What sort of necessary things do we need to purchase/arrange as soon as we reach the campus and check in our rooms ??
2. Will we be provided rooms on 30th itself ?? I most probably will be reaching on 30th morning (bangalore-manipal overnite journey by bus)
And lastly, congrats to all those who converted their calls recently and got seats in IB & BFS and all the best to those who are waiting for this wait list to move..
