jus wait and expect that waitlist movement will take place in dis week.....
Dear all,
Do not live with the assumption that if you were waitlisted for the PGDM program then you would automatically be selected for the sectoral programs. I believe the selection panel looks for slightly different qualities and parameters in a student for different programs. So while you may be ranked higher than a fellow aspirant in the PGDM waitlist, he might have converted the sectoral program while u wudnt have. So your preference order and your GD/PI will make a lot of difference in your selection to different programs. Dont forget that the whole system works on a relative basis between candidates.
Have faith in an institute which you are aspiring to join. Specially if the said institute happens to have a 25 year legacy backing it up. The 'transparency' woes would be dealt with once the Mandatory disclosure for the year is out and the whole process is out on paper for all to see.
My congratulations to those who've converted recently and my best wishes to those waitlisted. Keep patience guys. The anxiety and pressure you all are facing right now is absolutely nothing compared to the pressures you'll be subjected to during your PGDM.
I have been a mute spectator these last few days where pages after pages have been filled with woeful posts. This prompts me to
1. Apologise. Last year we guys filled a few pages with the same thing that some of you guys had to go through!
2. Advise. And this is in addition to what Narula has already said...
You want quality management education and possibly a good job at the end of it and are bothered about it (tad overly at times though!). The college wants quality and well-deserving students to fill up its seats so that going forward, they act as TAPMI's brand ambassadors to the Industry. I fail to see how these two interests are being treated as mutually exclusive.
While I can understand (and I am sure the institute does as well) the anxiety and tension at your end, is it too much to ask of responsible adults to understand that certain processes entail a certain time period?
Some of you have expressed concerns regarding arranging for travel - for them a good idea is to get tickets done for some tentative dates if they feel getting Tatkal tickets at the last moment is too much of a hassle. However, you would then stand the chance of losing some money for cancellation.
Some of you have expressed that they have problems with notice period - to them I ask if negotiating for a 15 or 20 days notice period is much different from negotiating for a 1 month notice period when the stipulated period is 3 months.
Having been there, done that, I agree it is easy for us to sit back and be so objective about things. But my sincere request to all of you is that do not be as stupid as we had been. Wait for the results as and when they come. Believe you me, there is no instance of someone being selected for a seat and not making it because there was not enough time to book tickets. Once you join, life is going to move into overdrive, so use your time judiciously now. I would recommend travel, reading, and loads of sleep :D
@ Narula: My signature line makes sense, boy?
i have seen in one of the previous posts that around june 15th we can expect a wait-list movement for sectoral programs, how will the college knows who are not opting for Sectoral programs, did they asked the selected candidates to send a mail of willingness to join or did they ask to deposit any fees ??
I have been selected for both BFS and IB programmes.

Finally, the long wait has ended.. But, still, courses need to be approved from AICTE.. Hope, they get it soon..
Congrats for all who have been selected..
All the best for the wait-listed puys..
How many offers are given for BFS and IB?? I have got offers for both.. I think it should be more than 60 for each course..

To add to what Subhayu and Varun has already said :
People are rightfully worried about notice period and booking ticket. But there is difference between getting worried and unnecessary anxious.
About Notice Period: I have mentioned earlier and will mention again that concept of bounded labor is declared illegal long ago. Nobody can force you to work against you will. You can resign at your will. If work is pending, work day and night and complete it. If PM or HR says serving the notice period is necessary even when there is not much work, then ask for leave (leave without pay, LWP) and come back for one day after the notice period is over and resign on that day. If they are not ready to give LWP buy the notice period. If PM and HR(local) are not listening, talk to GM (Group manager), DM (Delivery manger), HR head or any higher authority . All software companies have open door policy that you can meet any higher authority any time. Try to reason them. If local HR/PM is not listening, this higher authority will defiantly listen. Remember nobody can force you to work against your will. But be calm, cool, gentle and tactical during this whole exercise.
In our batch where a considerable number of people are from 1nd and 2nd waitlist, we got less than a month to join. I only gave 13 day notice period that too not so friendly HR/PM and many of my friends got even less than that time.
People who are worried about booking ticket a simple advice: Why dont you book ticket for 29/30 in your most convenient train irrespective of fact whether you are selected/waitlisted/expecting any miracle for PGDM/IB/HM/BFM. If your name doent appears in list till 27th, you can cancel the tickets. You will lose only 30 rupees. And if you are planning to come by flight, then you will get the ticket for Mangalore/Bangalore on any day may be at slightly higher price.
hi puys
anybody coming from mumbai to mangalore (flight) on 2nd july in evening
Spoke to Sudeep Sir.
Very small movement expected in coming 2-3 days! (Maybe 10-12 seats).
My season's over! Waitlisted @ 440! 😲

do we need to send any mail to the institute now ??
Nope. Wait till you get the official letter from their side.
Congratulations on being shortlisted for the PGDM programme in Healthcare Management.Your selection is provisional, subject to AICTE approval for the programme.Offer letters would be dispatched after receiving the approval.
do we need to send any mail to the institute now ??
Same for me too...
kirtimishra Saysyes i am waitlisted and rejected for both the bfs and ib course
divd SaysCant help it....v r in d same boat...wats ur plan of action??
shruti_2108 SaysCongratulations on being shortlisted for the PGDM programme in Banking & Financial services.Your selection is provisional, subject to AICTE approval for the programme.Offer letters would be dispatched after receiving the approval. Does any1 has any idea abt d fees .. Its still mentioned as 715000 as academic fees...Wud dere be any increase in this amt..
Hi Shruti,
First of all, congratulations on being selected for the program. With respect to your query on fees, this year TAPMI has increased the tuition fee to 8.25 lakhs (atleast to PGDM guys, this is the one that we got in the offer letter). I feel that it would be 8.25 lakh to other sectoral programmes too. Nevertheless, I would advise you to wait for the offer letter which you should receive in a couple of days.
Hi.. Guys congrats for those who have converted and dont loose hope puys who have got reject as their message coz I spoke to Sudeep sir he said students have been offered multiple offers as per their preferences. So a single person might have converted BFS/IB/HCM also and he said waiting list is also very small. So not more than 100 students have got an offer....so I think there will be a huge moment i the coming weeks and those who have got reject as their status dont loose hope .we all still have a gr8 chance of making it..
.
. We should be happy finally results are out
....So puys all the very best and as the offer letter says subject to AICTE approval I guess its on the way so is for 60 PGDM seats so puys chill we still have a gr8 chance to convert... I am a foremost an optimistic guy......... But still I think I should write a novel on my journey CAT 2009...agony and pain 😞 ...Hope it becomes a bestseller...lol
Talked to Sudeep Sir in the afternoon, he told me that multiple offers were give to students for BFS/IB, people who are presently rejected still have a good chance fr conversion. He told me i'll definitely make it to one of the sectoral courses but will have to endure for some more time (tentatively till 15th). This shouls come as a good news since my w8tlist no. is in the 270 range. So, people with w8tlist no. of upto 300 shouldn't have problems in conversion in atleast 1 of the sectoral courses.
Hope this helps. Cheers.
