Dude i was told that my waitlist number was around 70 before the 2nd waitlist movement of 38 ppl..if thats right i shud hav got a cal from atlst IB/BFS as i had opted dm in d 2nd n 3rd places..
What i feel is the college management is playing smart here..ppl who hav a rly gud chance of making it to the next 60 seats of PGDM and hav opted fr PGDM in d 1st place are nt given a call coz they wil definitely opt for PGDM even if they gt a call fr IB/BFS..this can save a waitlist movement and quite some time knowing that thr wil b very less time available fr the waitlist movement to happen..
this is just a wild guess i had thot of...anybody hav an opinion to share on this are welcome
no buddy..I dont think so..thats the case...I was told that I have a slight chance of PGDM..but will surely get BFS....but I am nowhere to be found...
Sudeep Sir had told me "You will make it thru with a bit of luck!" And they'd asked me what my second preference would be in the interview. And I'd told BFS! So, I guess, I should've made the cut. But I endorse syed's theory. Maybe, just maybe, the college has played safe!

Friend your waitlist number should confirm whether there is any mix up or not..if sir said u are in the next 120 then you would have got the call for IB or BFS...or else no..

There are guys who've been wait listed for PGDM, but have been rejected (almost all) for both BFS and IB.

very confusing process, not even a bit transparent :(
Guys please try to understand this is the maximum limit of transperancy possible... So long when the results were not declared, aspirants had a problem and were cribbing that atleast the results should be declared. Now that the results are declared with the letters "subject to AICTE approval" even then people have a problem. TAPMI is one of the few colleges which releases the complete list of marks scored under each parameter for all the aspirants who attend the GD/PI process. This of course is a lengthy process and is declared somewhhwre in August. Agreed there is a lot of confusion around admissions this year, but part of it is due to delay in AICTE approval. The approval lies in the hand of AICTE now and college is just making sure that the courses are having some affliation so that the students dont suffer at the end. I agree that this thread is open for people to express their views but dont just take a digg at college for every action. Just a request to all to be patient till the college gets approval from AICTE. Kindly note that this thread would again be viewed by next year aspirants so please post judiciously 😃
I had a talk wid sudeep sir. He said dat d next waiting list will b cleared by 2morrow for PGDM and those who r rejected 4 d sectoral programs still have a chance 2 get one of them. The next waiting list for the sectoral programs will b cleared by around 15th june.
To the ones, who've converted BFS / IB, the message on the website reads:
"Congratulations on being shortlisted for the PGDM programme in International Business.Your selection is provisional,subject to AICTE approval for the programme.Offer letters would be dispatched after receiving the approval."
So, the AICTE approval is in the process!!

As we all know dat dr is an unofficial confirmation fr the 60 PGDM seats.. y cant the college release the results fr those 60 seats also as it has done fr the sectoral programs..this will help everybody in making arrangements for the loans n travelling, well in advance..watsay guys
Do not live with the assumption that if you were waitlisted for the PGDM program then you would automatically be selected for the sectoral programs. I believe the selection panel looks for slightly different qualities and parameters in a student for different programs. So while you may be ranked higher than a fellow aspirant in the PGDM waitlist, he might have converted the sectoral program while u wudnt have. So your preference order and your GD/PI will make a lot of difference in your selection to different programs. Dont forget that the whole system works on a relative basis between candidates. Have faith in an institute which you are aspiring to join. Specially if the said institute happens to have a 25 year legacy backing it up. The 'transparency' woes would be dealt with once the Mandatory disclosure for the year is out and the whole process is out on paper for all to see. My congratulations to those who've converted recently and my best wishes to those waitlisted. Keep patience guys. The anxiety and pressure you all are facing right now is absolutely nothing compared to the pressures you'll be subjected to during your PGDM.
