I spent many days before by lappy ..waiting for various results right from SNAP..CAT..XAT..and of course for other b schools lists...but this has been the most draining...none of them were delayed to this extent....I feel angry and frustrated...but what can we do..its our careers right??? so we poor souls cant do much....
I could actually smell this..and I told my mom that this might happen..we have parents who feel our career is the most important thing in their life..and they are also going through a lot...but all this counts for nothing in our case ...does it ???
I feel betrayed after all my efforts..and the time I have spent...
I can proudly claim that I have spent the maximum time on TAPMI's website than any other site of other colleges....and the time I spent bugging seniors...were hours....many of them and of course many times...and all of them were very very helpful....they actually felt my pain...and they hope that I get through after conversing so much and becoming friends...
but the reality is very stark....who can challenge it??? I still hope atleast..the results would be out on monday....of course this hope will never die..as its in our nature to aspire for good things..and a great career..
I do not know the problems and issues that are at hand...like getting aicte approval..and other things.....
but ultimately we are suffering....thats it and period........
I am not there in the top 120 people in the waitlist for PGDM yet when I called up Sudip Sir a couple of days earlier, he told me that I have a bright chance of conversion in sectoral courses and he hinted towards my being there in the first list. He really made me feel very confident. Now if top 120 people are to get a call then that means that I am not there in the merit list for sectoral courses and that too far behind others because i really have a big waitlist number. How can Sudip Sir say both the things at the same time?

guys since the waitlist is common for al the programs.. if a person 1st converts the sectoral programs then can he get thru PGDM(the 60 new seats being addded)?
suppose he gets a call fr PGDM and has payed d fee fr the sectoral course..can he opt fr PGDM dn?
But as things stand...TAPMI is only waiting for the official document and formalities to be completed...but its certain that 60 more seats will be added....so its only a matter of time before TAPMI gives 60 more calls for general pgdm....also in of the posts someone quoted sudeep sir as saying the date might be after june 10th...

only god knows what is happening.... if nothing has been fixed the institute can say so rather than mentioning any particular date.

He has never given an outright yes or a no! The best we can do is just wait till the results are officially out!

He has said like a 1000 times that he has no idea when the AICTE will approve the seats...but ppl keep asking..questions like "sir, what is ur personal opinion" and when he does give a personal opinion...ppl post it on this tread like its the instis words...

Its not the question of the response system... who the hell cares about that..just think why such a thing was necessary in the first place then you will get your answer... there were so many calls bcoz there was utter confusion..isnt that a fact??.....
I too called many times....and many did so and will do so until the air is cleared...we are not idiots out here wanting to listen the same thing
...we dont call for that...we dont call if knew we would hear the same thing....get the point....people call to get UPDATES...they call to hear whether there is anything concrete regarding approvals..dates of results waitlist movement...etc

and one can understand how difficult it is to take so many calls it requires a lot of patience....right now I dont think many are in a position to overlook the most important thing..i.e ADMISSION ..and for the waitlisters like me its evaluating options..so people serious about getting in will probe questions ..AlSO just imagine the troubles that some working guys would face ..with such short notice periods and stickler HRs ...
May be you were impressed with the few jokes you have shared , everyone can understand that from your previous post ...I havnt shared any...and more importantly I havnt got anything substantial regarding aicte approvals...other results....so there isnt anything to be so enthu about...
Take yourself back a few days ago...we got the info that results for the sectoral courses would be out by thursday...then it was friday..then it was by SATURDAY EVENING....now its SUNDAY..I can only break my head ...
If you feel lucky , so be it...continue enjoying your luck by having your calls answered....

it is very good that he receives the calls n responses......but TAPMI is highly irresponsible and careless bcos they either themselves don't know when will the results will be out or they are intentionally speculating dates.....
as far as students r concerned nobody loves to call there and repeat same things like parrot, those who r doing it bcos some of them have genuine problems about which no one cares, atleast they can properly declare dates on websites for students........
its not just about tapmi or few iims, iits but the story is same everywhere, LAKHS OF STUDENTS ARE TREATED LIKE HUNGRY CLIENTS IN A MARKET OF FEW GOOD SUPPLIERS(our so called B-SCHOOLS)....
SORRY TO SAY SUCH SMALL THINGS CONTRIBUTE TO MAKE OUR "EDUCATION SYSTEM LAG BEHIND THE WORLD".....

Wanted to ask the seniors about a scenario:
Say I get selected for one of the two sectoral courses, but I don't take it up.
Will I then be considered for any of the remaining PGDM seats? If I will and if I stand a chance of a PGDM convert how will I be intimated about it? Because I don't think the website will show multiple converts!
