I'd already thought of my communication with my boss had I converted TAPMI! Alas, I'm still wait listed (and have given up hopes of a convert!) I've joined my current organisation just 2.5 months back. If they don't release me on time, I'll abscond. An extreme step, but desperate times call for desperate measures. Needless to say, I can't show that company's work ex after that!
Hi buddy..im facin t same kinda predicament... even my Hr aint ready to release me until June 30... but i think t best way wud be to try n persuade them... maybe u can offer ur earned leaves n other compensations in return...or try n broker a way out... try ur luck... cuz i doubt missin t 1st day induction program is really an option...

Idea's not bad rohan... but in my case its 2 yrs of experience...
it wudnt matter wen ur being screened initially by TAPMI since ur payslips r gud enuf ... t real trouble strts wen ur gonna get placed after 2 yrs...companies may ask u for proper work ex docs... relevant or non relevant work ex... if they contact ur previous organization n learn tat u absconded then ur in for a lot of embarrassment...
Hence every step taken right now would be very crucial...

Short notice is always a headache. I do not understand what they gain by delaying our cause by just a few days. At times get a feeling it is just the sadistic pleasure some of the managers seek. If a person is quitting the company for joining a different company, then this tit for tat is understandable. But atleast people can be a little generous with folks who are going for higher studies.
Even I may end up in a similar soup. My release date is hanging as well. :sneaky:

My problem is much more worse man i am expected to go to on site(U.K) next month, but 20 days back i went to my P.M and said that i am going for TAPMI and submitted him the resignation he is really angry that time and shouted at me like any thing but every day i go to him with a sad face stand in front of him and plea hin just for one reson work-exp certificate absconding is not at all correct if u r a IT professional u will have NSDL data base .So,one fine morning my p.m called me and offered me 2 choices stay back we will recommend you for a hike or pay to the company the 2 months notification period salary,i preferred the later and for that sake any person will prefer the later one only,i convinced him for a 1 month notification salary ended up with 37,000 rupees loss.My suggestion tell him that u work over weekends also so as to compensate this.
an informal query how far is the nearest beach from tapmi?i saw the pic of a lighthouse smwhere while going thru some tapmi videos on youtube..
The nearest beach will be in Malpe, around 10kms. The one with the lighthouse is Kaup Beach, around 22kms. There are so many beaches in Manipal apart from these. Very beautiful ones...

Hey man don't worry, just pull the legs of ur manager after a day or two. Just convince HR first. They will be able to help you a lot, even ur manager will once HR will push them as well.. Will c u in TAPMI. Keep your fight going..Take care and don't slog for 13 hours daily..:)

Tat depends totally on t heirarchy of his organization dude... cuz if his manager's in a more important position than his HR then HR wont be able to help much... Id suggest being in t good books of both manager n HR.. cuz both r important...
N i totally agree.. dont slog 4 13 hrs n all.. ul get drained out b4 u join n wil be left wit no energy to enjoy ur inital Honeymoon period @ TAPMI...:-(
i jus spoke to sir...and he was awesome to talk to...we also shared a few jokes....
however the news is...that the results for the other programs will come out soon...like in a day or two and the ppl on the PGDM waitlist have a good chance to make it to the other programs...
As far as PGDM is concerned...the next list will come out on the 1st or 2nd of June and the waitlist movement in that is expected to be really small...like 8-12 ppl... regarding the 60 fresh seats, he has no clue when the AICTE will send a formal approval... as and when they do, the list will be declared!
I also have almost similar querry..Right now mine w8list no. is 110If the approval comes for 60 seats which is most likely(According to me) than i would have quite a good chance to get through.But my name in final list would figure in the last or second last week.I don't think my manager would be leaving me at such a short notice.What to do in such a case? Right now i have lost all the hopes of getting relieving letter. I am wotking in IT compnay.How much effect is it going to have if i don't get the relieving letter.Seniors please guide me...

Funny thing....just called Sudeep Sir.....asked for my waitlist no. He told me that i ranked 270 in the list.....while last time he had told me my waitlist position as 130.....how can this happen!!!!! Need some direction in this regard.
Regarding IB/BFS he told me that the website will be updated by tomorrow morning with results of sectoral courses. The offer letters though will only be dispatched wen the AICTE issue gets sorted out.
